This is something I still fail to understand. I don't see how people would want to pay all those fees and still sell their card for below the low Beckett. You might as well just email the person and give your card away.
I think that if there were to be a non-profit selling site for collectors to sell their unwanted cards and you could avoid all those fees, the buyer could sell their card at a fair price and get some real money for the card without fees and the seller could still get the card at a good price. But people want their cards at 80-90% off, and then don't want to pay any part of the fees so it could actually cost the seller more money just to dump the card. That's a real great deal.
The problem is if people want nothing for their cards, eventually all cards will be worth nothing and the hobby will be dead. People on boards like this think I'm crazy for wanting more half of high beckett. I think I'd have a easier time at a card show.
I'm starting to believe that most cards on ebay are just being resold anyways, that few actually want the card...just see how bad they can rip someone off so they can try to make a profit. Is it Ebay or Kazaa?
If someone is willing to give you excellent service, prompt responses, easy shipping and hassle-free everything, the least you can do is pay half Beckett. You're paying for the service too. Does that make sense to anyone?

I can see where you are comming from and ima state my side of it
As an ebay seller (not frequent but have sold a lot before) I was selling to help get some extra money. Yes some of the items i sold were of things i bought but the money was needed. When i buy i buy for collection. You can figure that beckett helps indicate the buys of a card online. I have seen ron dayne cards go for about 10% of beckett online. Now you search up brett favre and its about 45%ish or so.. Its really in the demand of people.
Using beckett is more aless a trading thing only now n days
