For those of you who haven't figured it out already Ovie's mind is on playing in the big tournament in Europe in a couple of weeks. The World Championship and Olympics are always far more important to him than the owner who overpays him or the Stanley Cup.

While Ovi is a passionate Russian no doubt, and loves playing for his country, the dude definitely wants to win the Stanley Cup.Jhonas Enroth Card Collector & Host of the Hidden Content

We had the game on during trade night last night, and once it got to OT people weren't leaving just because they wanted to see how this one would end. People weren't disappointed! Huge win for this team and sure to give them confidence going forward!
Also, about the refereeing - trust me, there's no anti-Leafs bias out there. NHL refs are just incompetent. It's even more apparent in the playoffs where everything is so magnified and the stakes are so high. There will be bad calls, missed calls, and non-calls everywhere.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Exactly, how did they miss the blatant crosscheck to Shaw's neck when the puck was in that immediate area.

Toronto could easily be up 2-0 in this series. 2 lucky bounces in game 1 & an Overtime goal that should never have went in make this series a 1-1 tie going back to Toronto. Last nights double OT goal by Kapanen was the Hockey Gods righting a Game 1 wrong. I caught an interview after the game & Toronto's confidence is at an all time high. They know they can Hang with the best team in Hockey this year. I look forward to Game 3 in Toronto. Go Leafs Go!!!!!!!! & I am also very excited for next year.. If we could ever land a #1 defenceman to run the Power Play with Rielly, what a difference that would make to our already #2 Power Play in the league..

Funny, I was going to say the exact same thing except how the Leafs got away with murder. Face it, Tim Peel should never be allowed to officiate a playoff game. He is, by far, the worst ref in the NHL.SHARKS and CAPITALS Fan +++ Tomas Hertl cards: 512 & counting Hidden Content ...... Hidden Content

The Leafs do that on EVER play. They are always trying to encroach on the face of circle, and they are experts on stalling. Gotta give em credit. Babcock has taught them well how to cheat.

I'm totally biased for sure, but that's the grey area that can be taken advantage of if you look for it. In OT, you're exhausted and sometimes you need those extra seconds to regroup and catch your breath. May not like it but that's the way it goes.
Personally, as a goalie, I've used the old "need to fix/adjust my glove" once or twice in order to buy my team some time. Whether we notice it or not, a lot of teams or players do things like this. Just one of those things.
And yeah, if the Caps did that to Toronto and scored, would I have liked it? Well, no, because they scored, but I understand it's part of the game and you need to create your own rest sometimes. Just part of the game in my honest opinion.

C'mon, your just crying over spilled milk now!! Those 2 games the Ref's favored the Capitals. Calls that were made against us were not made when the Caps commited the same offences. You have at least double the Power plays that we had & still we hear this nonsense. The Leafs never asked for the guys with the shovels to come out after the Icing but yet we must have conspired for that to happen. Give me a break!! Washington are notorious chokers & if the Leafs dont beat them someone else will. They just cant win when it matters. Even Crosby has more heart than Ovechkin..

Are you going to complain about the lop sided penalties tonight? I bet not but it wouldnt surprise me in the least. Maybe the Caps should have had more power plays??
