If ND loses, it's not valid, yes. But also, SC has lost to a top 25 team (Oregon state) that has other losses, that's why they don't count in that irrelevant stat I quoted. I understand your point though.

As a fan, I want Michigan to be there. I know that SC has played a tough schedule, and I think the SEC is the best conference top-to-bottom.

Bottom line though, the system stinks. We don't know how good these teams are because they play entirely different schedules. It's just frustrating. If anyone says they know anything definitively, they're lying.

well, i stated above the out of conference records for most of the big conferences, and the big ten is THE WORST.....so that alone says SOMETHING!! and just saying that "we dont know how good these teams are" should be reason enough to let someone else play to see, right?? look at it like this....if you got an undefeated heavy weight who beats the #2 contender, wouldn't you want to see the #3 or #4 guy BEFORE seeing a rematch?? thats how it works!! it just blows my mind how michigan fans were very confident they would win that game, now they want ANOTHER chance...before, they didn't need another chance and none of this mattered....i mean damn, it wasn't that close of a game!! troy smith outplayed henne by ALOT (4 TDs to 4 different receivers)... pittman had the same number of yards as hart WITH 5 LESS CARRIES plus the 10 yards/carry and a TD that chris wells had!!

    GIVE SOMEONE ELSE A SHOT!!!!!!!!!!

I'm totally agreeing with you. Not knowing how good the other conferences/teams are means that we should give them a shot. The BCS is all about having power conferences match up in bowl games, I have no problem with it at all.

As a Michigan fan, I want Michigan. As a college football fan, I want USC, or maybe Florida - I like watching Tim Tebow.

I don't think anyone can beat OSU. Period. I didn't think so before the Michigan game, and I don't think so now.

Gotta hope Boise falls out of the top 12...Not likely though, unless they suck it up against Nevada.

    Lets go Notre Dame!!!

If they play again at a neutral site, it would be such a sweet game.

I bet Shawn Crable feels like crap after that unneccesary roughness penalty on 3rd and 15 in the 4th quarter.

i wouldnt mind seeing a rematch... again.. as a big ten fan... i really dont think there is a better conference than the SEC top to bottom but the big ten is right there.... if you put the big 10 against them head to head 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2, etc... i bet it would be pretty close 6-5 or 7-4 either way.. i would love to see ND play them but it would also be tough to put ND above a team who dominated them...

so my question... if USC loses to ND and Florida loses 1 more time... then would you stand by a rematch? just a question really

and for your question about a heavyweight fight... give the number 2 guy another shot... he worked his way up to the number one contender so he deserves it IMO

no, i would want to see arkansas (assuming they are still a one loss team)....if thats they case, that means they would have won what you consider the toughest conference!! everyone keeps contridicting them selves, lol....you said the SEC is the best conference, but you dont want the best SEC team to get a shot!! why is that (being serious)??

and as far as the fight comparison, then when do the other guys FINALLY get a chance?? i mean if 1 fights 2 and 2 loses....they fight again and 1 wins again, what does that prove? if 1 fights 2 and 2 wins, then what?? a rematch? what does 3 or 4 have to do to earn a fight for the title (especially if 3 and 4 have the same record as 2 who has already lost to 1??)
