WTH happened to this thread? smh. If Matthews doesn't get 60 against the wings I am going to protest in the privacy of my home. That is all. If Matthews gets 60 is a shoo in for mvp or does he even have to get 60? The race for the mvp is 9 deep or something crazy and they all have legit cases.

I would vote for Gaudreau. 85 even strength pts, plus 61.
Matthew is having a great season too.

I'd pick Matthews, but I may be a bit biased. Living in the east, I've seen a lot more of Matthews than Gaudreau.

It is absolutely ridiculous how little hobby love jonny hockey gets! His FWA is barely worth more than Rasmus Sandin! Come on man!

I know he's a defensemen but Josi is having an absolutely monster season for the Preds. I recognize that either he or Makar gets the Norris but think about it, where would the Preds be without Josi?
Ultimately I think that Huberdeau gets it. He plays for the best team in the league, and he's having a career year. Regardless of whether he hits 60 goals, Matthews will be a strong contender as will Gaudreau and Kaprizov.
I think Shesterkin has an outside shot but like Josi and Makar, there is already a different award that he is probably going to win and I think that most of the voters will try to spread the wealth.
Even though McDavid has had a career high 118 points in 78 games, I would still argue that he is not going to win.
Lots of great individual performances this year, gonna be interesting to see who takes the Hart home.

No way in hell Huberdeau gets his bc his supporting cast is just too strong. You can use that argument against Matthews as well, but Florida I think has more than what Matthews does. That being said, Josi makes complete sense b/c without him the Preds would be near the bottom of the league. Josi has been under rated for a long time and he finally got recognized last year when he won the Norris and if he is not the mvp of the league, repeating as the best d man in the league will be a nice consolation prize.
I think the Hart comes down to which player did the more amazing thing, but even with that all the top contenders have a solid case for themselves. Whoever wins it, the race is going to be close.

Playoffs could not have started better for the buds, but I do expect a drop off in game 2. Tampa will come on guns ablazing and the first ten minutes of game 2 will be key. So far so good and i LOVED the energy in the fans. Louder than Raptors games which is saying a lot b/c most raptors fans are younger so I guess older can mean louder? lol. GO LEAFS GO!
