Eh, I don't mind the job Dubas has done. He is focusing on one area of the team and adding D is probably the hardest thing to do in the league. He stole Campbell from the kings and got good deals with guys like Spezza and Kase. The D will always be an ongoing issue but most teams in the league can say the same thing. What Ds in the league am I even envious of? The Avs, the Preds used to have an amazing defence core and Josi continues to be the most under rated player in the league and he continues to play at a norris trophy level. It really is slim pickings is what I am saying. Even though the Leafs D isn't perfect, no D in the league is and if they want to improve at that position they will have to pay a hefty price.

2 more goals from Matthews last night... it's going to be difficult to take the Rocket from him.

This might be the homer in me talking, but Matthews scores most of his goals on his own and as a result of his own excellence. How many tap ins and one timers has Draisaitl scored his goals off of and as a result of the mastery that is McDavid? The Oilers also need a better goalie than Koistkinen. The TSN guy said that he wasn't good at catching the puck and holding onto it after making a save. You would think that would be sort of necessary in being a goalie lol.

A much better all round team game last night. Still some bad giveaways that led to great chances for the Oilers to score but they didnt end up in the back of the Net. Matthews just wanted to give the other guys a head start so the Rocket race seemed fair lol. I'm sure you heard the Stats, they are talking about it every game, but in his last 80 plus Home Games Matthews has like 75 Goals!! Thats just freaking crazy!! Hopefully i am allowed to say Freaking...
Did you see the Fan who threw his Oilers Jersey on the Ice last night? I dont care how poorly my team is playing i am Not throwing my $100- $200 Jersey on the ice. Thats just ridiculous!! & the Oilers are still 16-11 i believe. Sure, they are on a losing streak but they will turn it around. You dont see the Habs Fans throwing jerseys on the Ice & if anyone has a reason to throw they're Jerseys on the Ice its the Habs fans who's Team is basically last in almost every category you can imagine & i love it!!!! & this after a Finals appearance & the promise of a great next year.

My two cents on the covid issue and how it effects pro sports. It boggles my mind how professional athletes and everyone involved with pro sports take any sort of risks when it comes to the pandemic and that these covid protocols continue to be a major issue show how messed up the mentality of people in the world is. There, that's it. Back to the leafs.

I think the rumors surrounding Chychrun should die immediately. He is overpaid tremendously and is having one of the worst seasons for a d man in the nhl. Kind of like what OEL was having before he was shipped out. The problem is with the coyotes and gl to them getting anything for any of their assets. No thank you! OEL also playing crap on the nucks. Geez and to those who complain about the leafs over paying for certain players. On Marners or Taveras's WORST day, they are worth the moon more than so many other players in the league and any hockey fan knows that. I'm surprised no one has come on here actually to say that without marner the leafs pp has been carrying the team. Hmmm..

Its a good thing all of the NHL, (Bertuzzi excluded) is Vaccinated.
I am no doctor but i have had a few Vaccinations in my lifetime & i have yet to catch anything that i have been vaccinated for!! Sounds like Gov't & Big Pharma BS to me!! No way in Hell would i let them put that crap into me!!
Cant wait for all the wanna be doctors on here to tell me all about it!!

13 Leafs now in Covid protocol. Hopefully they get that fixed within the next week... As much as i love football too we need hockey back

Make that 14 now, Muzzin has been added today to that list. I think we are supposed to play tomorrow night against Columbus. I would have to imagine that it will be cancelled. We dont have enough players to play a game!!
On the bright side it gets Marner closer to coming back without missing as many games..

I saw the Raptors get destroyed by the Cavs the other day after they only had a total of 8 players and no starters available. As a matter of fact, most of their roster was G League players and depth guys and before the NHL gets to that, they need to set the proper protocols to make sure it doesn't!! It was an absolute joke seeing that kind of play in a league that is supposed to field the best talent in the world and imagine the people that actually paid to see it? yikes..
