Sure was nice to have hockey back tonight!! Unless your a Habs Fan i guess!!
That 1st period was pretty sloppy except for those 27 seconds where we scored 2 shorties. The 2nd & 3rd was pretty good though..
Willy with 2 Goals, Mikheyev with 2 & 4 pts for Brodie i think too!! Brodie hadn't scored in forever now he has scored in the last 2 games!!
Go Leafs Go!!!
I wonder how long it will take my Stalker to follow me here to this thread yet again!!Last edited by jameslacarte; 01-01-2022 at 11:26 PM.

A win is a Win but you cant read too much into it though, the Senators are almost a Crappy as the Habs sitting down there at the bottom of the Division!! Nice to see Marner back too & nice to see us win by that big a margin without Matthews or Marner Scoring. Big Shut out for Soup too!!!
Wow!! Have you seen how many views this Thread has compared to all the rest?Almost 3000!! Its my Fan Club!!
& all because i laugh at & make fun of the Habs this year cause they suck!! & last year when they Lost the Cup!! Like thats my fault or something!! Gotta blame someone i guess....
A sensitive bunch for sure!! They sure can dish it out though but its a different story when its they're turn!!
Hey, i wonder if they know they are now leading in Goals Against? Pretty soon they will have double the amount of Goals allowed than they have Goals scored!!Last edited by jameslacarte; 01-02-2022 at 05:46 PM.

The Oilers are terrible. The end. This team is the Leafs right now minus an elite goalie, a core four, forward depth and D. Actually, they're nothing like the Leafs then lol. Nice to see the boys shaking off that rust and playing well again though that's for sure.

Yeah, we still looked rusty though but what do you expect, its our 2nd game in 3 weeks!!
Yeah Edmonton is falling fast in the standings!! They better go make a good trade & fill in some of those holes but they are in the same spot as the Leafs with no Cap space. They are going to have to trade someone like Nurse or Nugent-Hopkins to free up some cap. They are a defensive nightmare so it would probably have to be Nugent-Hopkins, they cant afford to lose Nurse. All that money going to Kassian is a total waste too. I think Tippett's days are numbered in Edmonton too especially after throwing they're goalie under the bus. They are in danger of Not making the playoffs!! How does that happen when you have the 2 best players in the world on 1 team? Well, at least the 2 top scorers in the world!! It could be worse Oil Fans, you could be the sucky Habs lol.
Dont worry stoolies, i didnt say anything wrong today though i did take multiple shots at your Habs!! Report, report!! Lmao!!
Must be time for an updated NHL standings Pic!! Give them Habs fans something to look at when they come to check on me & what i say next....Are they still stuck at a Big Whopping 7 Wins?
Go Leafs Go!!!Last edited by jameslacarte; 01-06-2022 at 04:05 PM.

Yep Lmao!! Still stuck on 7 Wins!! Pathetic!!!
1-7-2 in they're last 10 with a Goal differential of -50!! Lets put that into perspective here. The Seattle Kraken, an expansion team, only has a Goal differential of -30 without any really good players like the Habs supposedly have...
Look at the Leafs, climbing the standings!! Only 3 points behind Tampa with 3 games in hand. What impresses me most though about the Leafs this year is the Goal differential & allowing only 78 Goals so far this year. Thats the biggest difference this year for the Leafs, they are Top 3 defensively in the League!!
For all you Campbell haters last year i say eat your words!! I wasnt sure after last year if it was just a fluke, (it was a small sample size), he only played 30 games or so but after the way he has played so far this year it isnt a fluke. Some Goalies just take a bit longer to develop, just ask St. Louis & Stanley Cup winner Jordan Binnington!! Go Leafs Go!!!

even with mike smith playing as well as he did last year the oilers still got nowhere. Smith is on his last legs and koistkinen is worse than hutchinson from what i've seen. he simply can't stop a puck properly. his technique is terrible and the oilers play like crap in front of him b/c of it. i'll say it again. oilers need to go after a big name goalie. fleury, price, someone. anyone. edmonton is a prideful city and how bad their teams goaltending right now is embarrassing.
the habs are should tank and trade away their assets and rebuild from ground zero. they have suzuki and caufield which are good pieces up front, but other than that they are really thin. losing kotkiniemi actually hurt the team even though he is not playing that great on the canes, he would probably be their #2 centre if he was still on the team. that was a terrible move losing him and it has just been down hill since then.

I think Carolina did that on purpose, giving him an offer sheet. Montreal tried to do that to them a few years back with Aho & it didnt work, Carolina matched they're offer. What comes around goes around lol..
Yeah, Edmonton needs to do something but they are maxed out on Cap Space & would have to move somebody significant, (Nurse or Hopkins) to be able to get a Goalie unless they luck out like the Leafs did with Campbell but i dont see that happening. Skinner looks like he has some potential but he is not ready yet & the way the Oilers are defensively it will just kill his confidence to be hung out to dry most nights. I think they should trade Draisaitl, he would be the guy you could get a Top Notch Goalie for & i also dont think Price or Fleury is the answer, it would just be a temporary band aid as both those guys are nearing the end of they're careers.I think both Nurse or Nugent Hopkins could fetch good players in return but not what they really need. Who else do they have that they could get a true #1 Goalie for?Either way someone with a big contract has to go.. I feel for Edmonton, the Leafs were in the same boat the last few years.Last edited by jameslacarte; 01-07-2022 at 08:19 PM.

Nurse and Nuge both signed long term deals so I don't think they are that desirable nor could fetch the return that the Oilers need to make their team better. I mean, they have had goaltending issues since they signed Talbot who continues to be an NHL starting goalie somehow. I never thought he was that good, but I guess the goalie market is that weak if he is a starter. Skinner is not the answer either and he is a decent back up at most.

A big measuring stick game tonight!! I know we beat the Av's last time we played them, (i believe we scored 7 Goals) but they didnt have MacKinnon or Byram in they're lineup & tonight we are missing Marner. Should be a good game either way though!!
That Byram kid sure is impressive!! Too bad he has already had multiple concussions in his young career. & they have Makar & Girard too!! That team is stacked. Nice to see Kadri having a great year too!! Maybe this year he wont get suspended in the Playoffs again....

Leaf's stopped playing half way during the second period. Completely mailed it in and if it weren't for Campbell the game would have been a lot worse. The Avs are so similar to the Leafs in the way they play and a Avs Leafs cup final would be super fun to watch for sure. Makar showed why he should win the Norris this year and their goal tending might be good enough unlike the disaster situation with the Oilers. The collapses during the games in recent games is concerning, but getting a point out of the game is a positive. Mrazek should play the next game since Soupy deserves a break after this effort.
