The Leafs just traded Nick Ritchie & a conditional 2nd round pick to Arizona for big D-Man Ilya Lybushkin & Ryan Dzingal & then put Dzingal on waivers right away lol.
I dont know much about Lybushkin other than he's a big guy. in 46 games with lousy Arizona he has 9 assists & is only -6 on the season. in comparison Chychrun is -28 on the same team. That tells me that Lybushkin know how to play D & he most likely cant be worse than some of the guys we got.
Hopefully more trades to come

chakhae i stated
all i can say is at least i dont have to cheer for the habs this year as the only Canadian team in the hunt for the cup.
i have never cheered for the habs only reluctantly last year when they were they last Canadian team standing
this year will be different with Calgary whom i predict will be the last Canadian team standing.
and cynnusx1 yeah he scored two goals but watch nylander fly the zone first chance he gets, he is a goal suck, a total one dimensional player, has he blocked a shot this year? intentionally ? if he is so good now would be the time to get rid of him, maybe get a quality Dman back.. nylander is sooo frustrating. give aways galore no back checking, so he scores a goal once in a while 19 goals in 50 games is once in a while. say goodnight.

one of these Dmen average 5 minutes more ice time than the other. Might account for some of the discrepancies in their stats.

If that wasn't our most embarrassing game of the year i dont know what is!! We lost to the Worst Team in the League!!
The Highlight of Montreals Crappy year!!
I cant even bother watching the 3rd period. The whole team stinks!!
Hopefully this makes Dubas make some changes. The Leafs Signed another Back Up Goalie today in Carter Hutton. If they were playing Mrazek tonight to showcase him for a trade that backfired miserably!! He looked terrible!! I believe he makes 3.5 Million, we sure could use that money somewhere else, like on a D-Man!!

We traded for that d man from the coyotes and he sounds better than anyone we have other than Rielly and Brodie. In my eyes that trade is an total steal b/c Ritchie wasn't happy here and even if he was playing, he is not even half the player Dzingel is and adding at least a serviceable d man as well. Can't go wrong there. Mrazek was trash, the entire blue line looked like it was playing in sand and the forwards showed nothing. Embarrassing game for sure, but we got another bottom feeder tonight and I expect the Leafs to dominate.

Mrazek made one of the best saves of the year but any goalie. I like Mrazek, I have since world juniors. I hope he can get it together. Whether with Toronto or someone else. There is still hobby love for him.

One great save does not make a great goaie, He's been awfull. His save % in loses is about 86%. not quite 90% in wins .

I agree totally, we by far got the better deal there. I wish the Leafs would keep Dzingel, i think he could help our 4th line & I think he's a better player than Engvall. I dont know whats up with Holl this year but he has been brutal too. Somethings gotta happen cause we cant let Tampa or Florida get too far ahead & even Boston is creeping up behind us. I believe Lybushkin will be in the lineup tonight vs Columbus.
The chatter on Social Media today is crazy!! You would almost think the Habs won the Cup!! I guess when you have a Whopping 11 Wins in 51 games it probably does feel like that!! lol

He's been bad all year long for us & for the past few years. Definitely 3.5 million we can use elsewhere!! We just got Hutton & i have been impressed with Joseph Woll this year so if Hutton fails miserably we do have a back up plan. We also have Hutchinson on the Marlies who in his brief starts for Toronto has been surprisingly good.
I would also like to see the Leafs get someone to play with Tavares & Nylander so Kerfoot can go back to centering that 3rd line where he has had a tonne of success this year. I wont hold my breath on that one though, same thing happened with Kadri, he had those 2 years where he centered the checking line & set career highs & then for some unknown reason the leafs moved him to another line on the wing. Makes me shake my head!!
