Interesting Idea
So I was looking at jaderock's Brunell site and was reading about how he got started and got to thinking about this idea; what one single player in your opinion has helped there team out the most or been the biggest leader for the team from 2000-2006.
What player has helped their team the most, or has been a great example of how the game should be played. It can be a start player such as Peyton to some guy who played only a handful of years.
Anybody have any thoughts on this idea?

Donovan McNabb has helped make the Eagles loads better. Maybe he doesnt have the stats but 4 straight divisional playoffs that he heavily contributed to.

Tiki Barber;
Changed the way he handled the ball. This allowed the team to advance. After the 2004 draft it also allowed the baby Manning to improve his game.

Tom Brady...Even though I can't stand him you have to admire a guy that takes over a 1-3 team that's going nowhere and brings 3 out of 4 Super Bowls to the team.

Not NFL, but DeMeco Ryans was the heart and soul of the Alabama defense his junior and senior years. Both years, we were ranked in the top five nationally in defense. He was also an academic All-American, SEC Defensive Player of the Year, etc, etc.....plus, he was always a class act both on the field and around the community in Tuscaloosa. For example, after Katrina hit New Orleans, he led the team in an effort to help the victims who had left their homes and ended up either in or coming through Tuscaloosa.

LaDainian Tomlinson - Not only for his amazing individual accomplishments, but I believe he is the key reason the Chargers have gone from being laughing stocks to offensive juggernauts.

Well, as a bears fan there's been a lot of guys who have helped us out the past 2 years. Guys like Thomas Jones, Cedric Benson, Muhsin Muhammad, Bernard Berrian, and yea ok I'll say it, even Rex Grossman (at times!). But when you think of Chicago football you think defense. The man who has had the most impact on the Bears is BRIAN URLACHER. Yes sir, the man in the middle.

All nice suggestions, but I will throw out the name of a guy on a team I don't even like because I have to give him the respect.
What would the Ravens be without Ray Lewis patrolling the middle and calling out defenses?
They definitely wouldn't have that Super Bowl ring or Steve McNair at QB right now.
