Brett Favre is great..but not this year. John Elway led the broncos to 5 superbowls, 3 for the most part on his own.

Thats like me saying Troy Aikman won Superbowls own his own.
Looking at your profile, you were 10 and 11 the last time the Broncos made it to the Superbowl. How much does a 10 year old really understand about the technicalities of football and the meaning of a team?
John Elway is one of the best QBs to ever play in the NFL but please, please know what your talking about before you said he did it on his own.

Hershel Walker. When he was traded to the Vikings for 12 players and draft picks. They acquired Walker's NFL rights by selecting him in the fifth round of the 1985 draft. When the USFL in fact succumbed after its essentially unsuccessful antitrust suit against the NFL in 1986, Walker went to play for the Cowboys, eventually establishing himself as a premier NFL running back with two consecutive Pro-Bowl seasons (1987,1988). In 1989, at the height of his NFL career, the Cowboys traded his rights to the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for a total of five players (LB Jesse Solomon, DB Issiac Holt, RB Darrin Nelson, LB David Howard, DE Alex Stewart) and six draft picks (which led to Emmitt Smith, Russell Maryland, Kevin Smith, and Darren Woodson). This was judged to be one of the seminal events in the return of the Cowboys to the top echelon of the NFL and the trade would ultimately overshadow Walker's NFL career achievements.

Wrong, because this is not what the topic is about. Sure most of the guys people are naming are QBs and control the game, but Urlacher is a phenominal LB. He's not JUST good. Like you said, the Bears would have a solid defense. Right now Chicago is the 3rd overall defense. That's a little better than solid. Urlacher averages almost 10 tackles a game, each of which leaves a pretty big mark on the offensive guy.

I like the story of Dat Nguyen...how he became a star at Texas A&M, winning the Bednarik Award as well as the Lombardi Award in 1998. Also what he means to the Vietnamese American community.
Also see De La Salle High School Football team, formerly the #1 team in the Nation, in how they conduct themselves. I think these would be some nice storiesThe most complete/comprehensive single player collection in the world with 95% of his Known cards & 400+ #1/1s.

Been some great suggestions and some that make me scratch my head to say the least.
If you name Ray Lewis, you have to name Brian Urlacher. The Bears defense didnt establish themselves until Urlacher came aboard, the same is to be said about Ray Lewis. Nuff said.
Tom Brady isnt the golden boy people are making him out to be(not yet at least, talk to me after this year)he had a lot of above average talent with EXCELLENT coaching. He could very well become the product of a great system. Much the same can be said about John elway. Hands down he is better then Tom Brady but also had a coaching system and teammates that knew how to play there part of the game.
LT and vick((As a player, hes not ment to be a QB)) get no disagreements from me.
All Im going to say about Favre is that I agree. People will want to call me biast but the numbers speak for themselves.
