The dollar will probably go down, making wax more expensive. I accumulated a brunch of sealed boxes over the years, I will probably slowly go throught them. I am also working on downsizing my inventory and put the cash aside for a nice Roy rookie.

Have no idea how it will impact our card "business". Doubt our cards will get tariffed selling to the States. Doubt there is any Canadian content in the cards, maybe the cardstock if a Canadian pulp plant is producing that but I doubt it.
I have to think costs will rise for everything in the States, utilities especially, eventually wages. So, pricing will go up, and as usual companies like UD will jump the price claiming cost increases even before they see any!

It's going to be interesting to see if there's any impact on the hobby. Obviously all of the card manufacturers are based in the US: Upper Deck, Panini, and Fanatics/Topps. I don't think they'll be on the initial list of retaliatory tariffs announced by the Canadian government, perhaps won't even be on the secondary list coming into effect in three weeks. For a lot of Canadian card shops, they're going to be stuck in the middle of a very strong "Buy Canadian" sentiment and that's really tough given that cards are an American imported good.
It's likely also that the Canadian dollar will be hurt by this, which will result in further increases in price. If a product is $100US, that already means we're looking at $140CDN. If it gets worse...it's really going to squeeze retailers.

Yeah it's going to get bad,
I already cannot afford to live. I make money buying and selling on eBay, and now I will have to pay taxes on my income through eBay.
So we will not be getting fruit and vegetables from USA anymore. I suppose now foods like fruit and vegetables will come from Central and South America. Those prices will go up a bit, but not as much as food from USA. So now South American countries will sell more just to Canada, giving those countries more money than before. I imagine they will export the same amount to USA because USA is probably the least prepared country for the tariffs they are implementing.
I will be buying less card. I will be getting back into precious metals, mainly silver because I Cannot afford the others. I do now know where to sell my card. I do not have social media, I would like to sell less on eBay but I cannot sell here because it's rare that I sell anything here. I buy a ton more than I Sell but I don;t know why I can't ever sell anything on these boards.
My life is a mess, anytime I make money someone wants a piece of it.
Oh and since the strike Canada Post has lost 14 of my packages and now I have been paying for tracking on packages and those tracking numbers are faulty and lead no where as if someone stole an entire batch of packages I dropped off because even my tracking packages were never scanned so it's as if they don;t even exist.
So, I cannot afford to live and I don;t know what to do.Master List: Hidden Content

Sorry to hear that you cannot afford to live.
I given up on ebay a long time ago and probably passed up a lot of money as I hate selling on there due to some customers who do nothing but rip you off. Since, I never was a top seller and sold lower end items a few bad deals eat into the small profit margin real quick. Hopefully, you make some good money on ebay as I agree without social media you have to sell there or some of the other larger sites comc, myslabs, and some of the other larger selling platforms. I have a few folks I sell to without even posting deals on here. I think many folks who post on here want too much for their cards but that is just me. I agree things can be slow but the best way to make sales is to take care of a few good customers and you will always have folks wanting to deal with you. Too many folks get the hot card and try to unload it for what it is selling for on ebay. I mean we sell here for several reason no fees, no bad sellers (99.9 percent of the time) when a deal is actually posted, and you do not have to worry about getting taxed on it to boot. I sell on here and it usually low end deals and hence not a ton of money but no government get their dollars from any sale I do here. I also do a local card show where I sell stuff and again no one gets a part of it. I mean some months it slow and I might only make a few hundred but to me that is better than nothing especially if I can pick up a few things for folks while at the show. If you do the big shows like the Nationals and I assume the expo they make you register for tax purposes as they want their fair share of your sales LOL. Of course some of those big guys and gals at the show make six figures easily during their 5 day weekend which drives the hobby as we all want to make the big money LOL.
Hopefully, you figure out what your going to do.

It will likely be a 25% Tariff on the Price that Canadian Distributors pay for cases. No doubt they will pass that cost increase on to the collectors.

From what I remember, here is what I have:
4 Extended 21-22 hobby boxes
4 UD2 22-23 retail boxes
1 blaster of Pro Set (the ones with a mini set and a jersey)
a bunch of OPC 21-22 blasters
1 blaster of Parkhurst Champions 22-23
1 blaster of OPC Platinum 23-24
3 boxes of Atomic 02-03 hobby
a bunch of Tim Hortons 24-25 packs
a bunch of mini packs OPC 86-87 and 87-88
The idea of reselling some of these boxes to a wholesaler is interesting. It would give me some nice $$$ for another big rookie, maybe a Gretzky or a Lemieux. Or I might stick to my plan and open them slowly.

Well we're able to kick that football down the field for 30 days. Hopefully by the time March rolls around, the American leader has something else on his mind and forgets about decimating the North American economy.
