Spurs win. Great team performance from them, Wemby all the way on down to the supporting cast. OKC basically had SGA and nothing else. Chet was absolutely disgusting and weak - shameful series from him. Really mad at his play.

Yeah I know the Thunder had injury issues but nobody outside of Caruso and SGA came to play this series. I don't know if the Spurs are just the team in the league that they happen to stink against or what but Chet was invisible this series when they needed somebody to show up and score. If he was scoring just 20 points a game instead of averaging like 8 points a game this series they would have won.

The Knicks actually lucked out because if the Knicks fan is correct that I talked to the Thunder had won like the last x amount of games against them with no losses but the Spurs struggled a bit against them so the Knicks now might have a chance if Brunson gets hot. Either way I see the league making this at least a 6 game series.

Caruso was great for most of the series but he really struggled in game 7. I'm not nearly as mad at him because he was otherwise extraordinary most of the rest of the series and has been in the playoffs ever since he got here. Chet meanwhile hasn't done anything since game 7 of the Finals last year when he had 5 blocks. He was weak the entire playoffs and has no excuse.

Credit to the Spurs as well for their exceptional defense. They are starting to play D like the Thunder with more physicality, including Castle on SGA. They also have great rotations. Watching them on D and watching a team like the Cavaliers is like night and day. That's why I think they'll do well against the Knicks - the Knicks didn't play any great defensive teams out East. And with Castle, I think they can knock Brunson around a bit. The league probably does want to make this 6 games, maybe NY steals a game or two at home, but I think 5 is still possible because the Spurs are that good and the Knicks play in a weak conference. I'd be surprised if it's anything other than Spurs in 5 or 6. The NBA won't want a sweep and the Knicks can maybe gut one out because they did a couple of times in the regular season by hounding Wemby, but one of those games Wemby was still recovering and coming off the bench, so I don't consider that the most indicative game. I just don't see them having enough to take it to 7 let alone win it. Anyway, Silver is probably very happy because he gets a big market in NY and then Wemby starts another likely Spurs dynasty as the face of the league and the biggest name since LeBron/Curry.

Well credit to the Knicks for stealing game one on the road. I was wrong about them. They did do well against the Spurs in the regular season just as the Spurs did well against the Thunder. Sometimes it's just about match-ups. Knicks have the size to give Wemby fits.

The league wins with whoever wins this Finals but the Knicks 100% wanted to play the Spurs instead of the Thunder who they just couldn't beat for some reason. The cherry on top for the Knicks was that it was a hard fought 7 game series for the Spurs too.

    Another one for the Knicks.

What a brain-dead moment between Wemby and Castle on that pass toward the end of the game. Talk about a lack of awareness.
