BTW...thanks for the compliment...I just enjoy the hobby and wish everyone could do the same!

This is the crux of the whole thing. Whos' card is it? Oh yeah yours. You may do what you want with it. If the offending party continues to be a little childish please pm me or one of the other staff here at SCF.
I collect Matt Schaub and this was his final year with the Falcons. Do I think his stuff will go up in value, yes dang it I do. Now it will be more frustrating to get his cards but also maybe more than topps will make his cards again.

I have dealt with many people in the past, and yes when a player is hot you have the right to ask whatever you want for the card and yes it is yours, and no never in a million years would i do the trade you have been offered. You could sell the Jones on Ebay and buy 2-3 of that brett card. Its just ridiculous how people are looking to grab every dime out of your pocket that you are willing to give, I would not feel guilty at all.
Best of luck with the JD, I traded mine about 2 months ago when it was selling for $25.
Take Care,
Justin

You're right. The reasoning behind it is this: He wanted to trade you a card that sells for 15 for a card that sells for 50. Well, technically, you could take that Drew and sell it and buy 3 Favre SC RCs. That's why the trade is unfair.

Craig,
I dont think your in the wrong at all. If you think your wrong on ANYTHING it would be the fact that you set a book value PERIOD.. I dont care what the book value is. All you need to do is state you are not going by book or sell value but what your intersted in. I know you better then most traders and I know you wouldnt pick out a favre auto for the jones drew. If you found a 60 dollar packer auto I know youd probly ask for that. If you found a 100 dollar packer auto Im sure youd ask for that person to view your trade list and find a card that he is interseted in w/o caring about BV.
Just my thought

With this new system does it mean that someone will have to pay ME to take Delanie Walker cards off their hands???? That could be a good thing ;)~

i got my girlfriend nephews a pack of UD cards about a month or 2 ago. They traded in the simplest way of all:
1. The number of letters in the Players name.
or
2. Did he score a touchdown in the photo
it was a riot. of course, the one player they wouldn't trade no matter what was MICHAEL VICK. it was funny.
