Wow. Two of the three Texas teams lose in their first game. It will be interesting to see if they (San Antonio and Dallas) can bounce back and get a win.

It would really leave the door wide open for Phoenix, if Dallas and San Antonio got eliminated in the first round.

    GO WARRIORS AND NUGGETS!!!

They will bounce back. Spurs won't shoot that poorly in the series again. Mavs are just too good to not bounce back from the loss.

Do you really want the Warriors and Nuggets to win? Sure, that means an easier opponent for Phoenix in the second round and so forth. But if Phoenix does go on and win the title everyone will look back and point to the fact that they never played Dallas or San Antonio. That would somewhat diminish a championship. If I were a Suns fan I would want to play the Mavs or Spurs and to defeat them. Those are the two teams that prevented them from going to the Finals the past few years. Redemption. :)

Hey Renegade, they don't put who you beat on the trophy :-)

As a Suns fan, I'll take it no matter who we play!

Me too. :) I'd take an easy road to the Finals, instead of no trip at all!

I think we all know that the Mavs and Spurs will win their series so the Suns won't have an easy path.

I agree. However, the Warriors and Nuggets will both be great teams in the near future IMO.

Wouldn't it be funny if both Miami and Dallas got knocked out in the first round? I wonder if that has ever happened before to the East and West champs, to get knocked out in the first round the very next playoffs..

I hope Dallas gets knocked out, but I'm so disappointed in Miami not even putting up a fight against Chicago.

    Miami has been eliminated!

JammingJames23 - It's the first time a defending champ has been SWEPT in the first round of the playoffs the year following their championship, since the 1957 Philadelphia Warriors! It's the first time a defending champ has been eliminated (not swept) in the first round after winning the title, since the San Antonio Spurs in 2000.

I got that info from... http://www.nba.com/playoffs2007/series/series_e1s4.html

phoenix - thanks for the info! I am disappointed in Miami..I expected them to at least put up a fight. They were up 57-50 in game 4 at one point, too, which makes it even more embarrassing. Oh well..Walker, Wade, Shaq, and Zo got their ring the previous year, so I can't complain too much, I guess.
