    onto the second round!

man, game one of spurs and suns was tight! it's too bad about nash getting that huge nose gash..when he went out, barbosa became the main decision maker, and he committed two dumb fouls in the final minute. good job by the spurs to take one at home though.

and lebron and the cavs won - woohoo!

It was unfortunate that Nash's nose continued to bleed after that collision with Parker, and that it kept him out of the game. That doesn't take anything away from the Spurs win, it just doesn't help the Suns when Nash is not playing down the stretch when we need him the most. Duncan and Parker both played great. The Spurs had the lead the majority of the game and deserved the win.

Great game between the Spurs and Suns. Offense on display as both teams shot very well. I was a bit nervous when the Suns hit the 100 point mark. Spurs are 2-12 when opponents reach 100 (one victory over the Suns) Luckily the Spurs managed to pull through. I did feel that there were a couple of bad calls by the refs against Phoenix in the game. The obvious one was when Stoudemire and Duncan had their arms tangled and went to the floor. That should have been a no call instead of a foul on Stoudemire. Duncan and Parker were fantastic and Finley continued his 3pt barrage. Game was still very close when Nash went out with the bloody nose. Phoenix was still able to score on one or two possessions without him but I don't believe they would have won if he was in there. Spurs inability to knock down free throws throughout the game allowed Phoenix to stay close.

Spurs need to play better defense in Game 2. I don't think Duncan and Parker will put up 30+ points at Phoenix again. Ginobili needs to step up too. If they can hold Phoenix to under 100 on Tuesday night, they have a great chance to steal Game 2.

And coming from a Spurs fan, no less! I wish more team/player fans could be as objective as you. :)

I notcied that too. There were several bad calls that should have been "no calls" or a foul against Phoenix or S.A. However, there were bad calls against both teams, so I don't think it had an effect on the game at all. Hopefully, the Suns can take game 2, and then steal a game in S.A.

There really was a ton of no calls on both ends. I was surprised they actually let them play.

Jazz hang on, and take game 1 against the Warriors. Deron Williams led the way with 31 points, and Boozer hit a huge shot with 17 seconds left to give the Jazz the lead, and the win.
