punishment seems fair given the circumstances, but I've never particularly liked Horry..as for Bowen, he's a good guy, but he's very strategic and into one-upmanship..he will do almost whatever it takes to win, including being "not-so-nice"

Personally... (this is partially in reaction to Renegade comments although this is not personal whatsoever between us two)
After this series I have very little respect left for the Spurs or the NBA for that matter.
First of all I do agree that Raja is a flop but it isn't playing illegal or dirty like the Spurs...yes they play dirty. And even one of my teachers who is a die hard Spurs fan agrees Ginoble is a huge flop and an essential wuss. I would put Duncan in the same category...C'mon! a seven footer that a feather could knock down. PITIFUL! Along the same lines it was completely obvious Bowen tried to pull a couple a fast stunts to injure a couple a first team NBA'ers. Heck you would think good ol Pop is sending out his thugs to take out the All-Stars.
Also all Horry has to do in that situation was grab Nash and send him to the line. Instead he attempts to injure the should be 3-time MVP with a nice hockey hip check and rig the series. Well he did end up rigging the series, almost. He provokes the suns bench with his cowardly move and the cowards at the NBA offices decide to ruin the playoffs once and for all, almost. I love how they awarded the dirty team and the dirty player with a series gimme, almost.
Along those same lines I have no respect left for the NBA. For one, they SUCK at creating a fan base. Okay the East SUCKS completely. Im not saying they can't win a championship but I would rather cut off my fingers one by one than watch them play. Not to mention the Spurs and Jazz play the same mind numbing style (so that's what we're in for, almost). The Warriors are good as gone and the Suns are practically out (ALMOST) so excitement is gone and baseball almost becomes more entertaining. ESPN radio host Jason Smith said it best the other night. He said the Suns and Warriors were as entertaining as a well played MLB game...and everyone else left is the Double AA league (as far as ENTERTAINMENT). I agree.
Also the league has no freaking idea what their standard is as far as punishment. Every objective, realistic fan that looked at what Bowen did would agree it was dirty and deserving of punishment. AT LEAST FINE THE MAN! (to show there is someletter of the law) Also Baron Davis (although I love his play and his beard) should have been suspended a game for his nice little elbow to the head against Derek Fisher. But no the league decides to let at least some form of excitment play out there. Finally they come down hard on.............
Big Shot Rob and all of his 4.8 points a game...woohoo I applaud you NBA for getting the job done right......in a completely superfluous situation. We know you baby the Spurs (see the suspension of completely dependable and experienced official Joe Crawford) so it is so great to finally see you come down hard on......an antiquated role player of yesterday. I am literally standing and clapping at this moment. The world looks up to you Stu Jackson!
I half heartedly apologize for the long read...

Washington is also very fun, but the loss of Arenas basically killed their season.

im sorry to say but even though there are plenty of good players and teams that could easily compete for a championship...the brand of basketball is nearly unbearable...especially becasue I watch the suns night in and night out.
It's quite a step downLast edited by sweetdizzel17; 05-16-2007 at 12:18 AM.

Actually, I don't think Horry is a dirty player, but I do think that play against Nash was dirty. His frustration got the best of him. It's not like Big Shot Rob has been doing this all his career! If he continues to commit hard flagrant fouls like he did to Nash I may change my opinion on him though. Otherwise, I think he will be known for his clutch shooting at the end of playoff games, and being able to add playoff experience to any playoff team. He is a great player, and he knows what he did was wrong. One hard foul by a NBA player does and should NOT label them as "dirty". If this was the case, then many, many NBA players would be considered "dirty", because lots of players will commit a flagrant foul once in a while.
Bowen is a dirty player! He has had more than one incident (unlike Horry), and there have been several plays that should be (IMO) clear to anyone's eye that they were intentional! He's been doing this basically all his career!

no i don't think horry is dirty overall but to commit that type of foul in that type of situation against that type of player is utterly stupid
I do have to admit he is a very clutch player and it annoys the crap out of me when he hits those big three's...GAAAAAAAH!

No offense taken. I wish other Suns fans felt the same way about Horry as you two do. Horry isn't a dirty player but he made a stupid mistake that was obviously a cheapshot. He was either frustrated or it was retaliation for the "dirty" remarks by Amare.
Youtube has a bunch of idiots and jerks. Spent some time tonight arguing with a bunch of Spurs haters.
sweetdizzel17-as for a sign...it could be "Not even Mr. Clean can clean the dirty Spurs"
lol well I thought it was funny

Lol. It annoys me too. Horry is a Suns killer. Lol.
As for the game: Hmmm... You could bring a sign that says something like...
"Amaregeddon is coming!"
Lol. I don't know. I saw that in some sig of Amare, or something.
