marino - im in the same boat. Not really looking to dump stuff but i have lost pretty much all interest in trading anymore. I made a trade with Flip where the cards never got there, that kinda ticked me off. Then I made a trade with Gloablduk where the cards were delivered to the wrong house, never signed for and i still havent gotten the insurance money for them. Its just too much of a hassle and I dont have the time for it that I used to have. I dont really wanna sell out in case i change my mind in a few weeks/months, but the "love" has left me the same way it has you and Flip I think. I have traded with both of you and you're both good dudes, take care

The main reason why it's got so "CRAPPY" latey is no matter what card you want from somebody, their cards ALWAYS sells higher than your cards..... It's just too hard to make trades anymore. Hobby should be about collecting not seeing who can retire off sports cards.....

It's just sad that it does have to be like that..... Ebay is about the only place to get new cards anymore. Unless you like busting open boxes

This is very true..its been sooo hard to trade since i got back into trading a few months back. Ive got 90% of my reprint set from ebay...the other 10% i had to get butt raped in trades. I understand why your leaving but hope youll find a reason to come back.... i did.

( just be happy u have one of the very best marino collections and not the worlds best justin fargas collection like me....now u know why im only after hofers... if i ever saw fargas in the streets id probably break his knees..lol jk

    Hey Marino,

I know the feeling your going through.. Just no care to go after everything like ya used to.. I will be PM'ing you on the Nitschke RC reprint auto if your willing to move it.. You got a great RC reprint auto set there it would be tough to break up.

Our trade where the cards you sent me never got to me is where my interest started to fade as well. There was no fault on your end, as the dc was signed for at the post office and disappeared from there, what can we do. I am glad that we came to a resolution to even things out as much as we could, but we still lost a couple hundred on a card that should have never happened.

I do agree that it seems like every time you try to make a trade the "Sell Value" comes up and no matter what the other party's sell value is always higher than yours. Whenever I ask about a card someone always wants something I have that bk's alot higher, (Rivers SPA, Ben Contenders etc..) and then they want to trade even up because of sell value. You can always find a ebay auction where a card sells low, eithor because of poor listing, off season sell, or just listed in wrong catagory, what ever the reason. Since everything is driven by the $$ now there is no more trading, it is all about investing and trying to get one over on someone else to make a $. It is no longer a hobby, it is a stock market.
