really hate to see a marino collector quit, and i know about the people that search ebay and throw the lowest ebay sell prices they can find and tell you your card isn't worth book value, regardless of who it is, and what beckett says. and then they turn around and sell it on ebay and ask over book.
and the ones that call it a 1/1 because its their 3rd grade teachers age.
    we will truly miss you.

Since everything is driven by the $$ now there is no more trading, it is all about investing and trying to get one over on someone else to make a $. It is no longer a hobby, it is a stock market.

I agree with you. This is part of the reason I've decided to get away from cards. There are a lot of great traders on this site, but it seems like more and more folks are looking for a steal of a trade and nothing more. My biggest pet peave was when I would express interest in a low bv card, and I asked them to look at my trade page and they would come back with something from my PC that books 5x what they were offering. When I would politely tell them no, I wouldn't hear from them again. This seemed to happen a lot more in the past 6 months. It really took a lot of fun out of the hobby.

Sorry for the off-thread comment Marinofan.
