Yeah, Eastern Conference contenders for sure...

On the flip side, though, Minny gets young and extremely capfriendly...McCants/Foye/Brewer/Green/AlJeff/Chris Richards...anyone I'm forgetting? That's definitely a NICE foundation to build on...

Lol, is that the general Celtics fan consensus?

sportsballa is right; good trade on paper, but they're obviously in a "win it all at all costs now" mode...and i don't think that team is good enough for the ring...

pretty much 7 players for 1. that is a joke. sure this will bring them to the top of the east but it wont win a championship

You forgot Sebastian Telfair. The Celtics would become an automatic contender in the east with an amazing trio featuring KG, Pierce, and Ray Allen as JJ23 stated.

I am a huge Wolves fan and hate to see KG go, but I have to say, I am liking this trade. Big Al is turning out to be a stud and G-Money has a ton of potential. I think this is a win-win situation though. Boston becomes instant contenders for the championship (yes, I beleive they could win it all now) and MN would have a young team full of talent. Besides, the Wolves weren't going anywhere in the next couple years anyways.

i agree with u on everything u said except, when u said boston was a championship contender i don't think so because they have kg,pierce and ray allen i don't think they will get along very well!

A great trade for the Celts and Wolves. Celtics became a playoff team in the East and the Wolves now have a group of young players to build on. Garnett is 31, Pierce 29, and Allen 32. Celtics do need the add depth and veteran role players.
