According to this, Kevin Garnett is going to wear #5 now, rather than his old jersey number, which was 21.

Boston won't win with just Garnett, Pierce, and Allen. They need to add depth immediately. They traded away five players on their roster and two first round draft picks. Trade could backfire if role players aren't brought in.

The veteran free agents are apparently lining up to sign nba minimum contracts with the C's!

The reputation of a winning team is better than having a "cap-friendly, young team."

Ask the celtics how having a cheap young team works out for ya...or better yet as the Atlanta Hawks or the Bobcats.

I'd rather have the winning rep like the Heat or Spurs - vets will line up to make the league minimum for you.

Boston is once again a three-sport power!
Who cares if we can't skate!

*oh & now that the c's aren't a lottery team expect paul pierce's "injuries" to clear right up

I think this is a great thing for the NBA. You need your Major teams to be big time players, and this makes the Celtics Legit for sure! Now, if only the Knicks could find a way to land Kobe and LeBron LOL!

I read somewhere that the Wolves owner put off firing Kevin McHale because he didn't want the new GM to be "the guy who traded Kevin Garnett". I wonder if the heat is still on McHale as GM. Because I'm sure he can have a job with the Celtics if he gets fired.

    Conspiracy!

(Yes, I admit - I am just jealous!)

The Celts better win it all in the next 3-5 years because all of those guys will be retired by then. And was reading on ESPN how the Rockets did this with Hakeem,Clyde and Barkley and man did that back fire.
