sportsballa,
You are protected by the buyer protection guarantee. As long as you notify NAXCOM within 12 days of your purchase you are guaranteed to be protected. Even if you don't notify us within the 12 days of your purchase still contact us. As long as the seller is still active on NAXCOM they would still have to provide proof that they shipped you the item.
If you have waited an extensive period of time and the seller no longer particpates on the site then we most likely won't be able to do anything at that point.
Thank you.

Doesn't naxcom have a rule that if the sale is over $10, the seller must use DC?

No, what the $10 rule states is that the buyer pays a buyer protection S/H fee. It is then the seller's decision as to sending it with Delivery Confirmation or Insured. If they choose to self-insure the item and the buyer "states" they do not receive the item, then the seller must show proof of delivery. If seller chooses not to have done DC or paid for insurance then we will reverse the transaction.
We also keep track of buyers who "claim" not to receive items to ensure that buyers don't take advantage of the NAXCOM buyer protection guarantee.
Thank you and great question.

Mike you can contact [email protected] 310.568.8825 ask for Alex to make alternative arrangements to pay by Check or Money Orders for your auctions.
As for the auctions listings there will always be sellers that over price their items, but you have to remember on NAXCOM, buyers will pay more then they will elsewhere because of the NAXCOM Buyer Protection with all buyer payments going through NAXCOM and put into a holding account until you receive your item.
Sellers often receive prices they could never had imagined getting elsewhere. Yet there are a lot of sellers on NAXCOM so competition does get fierece. The auction have been open less then 2 days. In 2 months or even 2 weeks you will start seeing the sellers competing more. In fact we are already starting to see signs of that.
Thanks Mike, hope that helps.

Good questions guys! Auctions with less fees are always a good thing. Continue to provide Naxcom with inputs and you can help them evolve the auctions to become even better.
I will be doing a Q&A interview with Bill Elder the VP of Marketing in about one week. Feel free to send me any questions you may have for him.
