i see all your points, maybe the words used to describe the fields just needs changed....serial number instead of card number (i know when i see card number, thats the coalation number).....as far as "card name", again probably a poor "description" to use....for instance, the manufacture would be Topps, or Playoff...the card name (in hobby terms) would be Pristine or Prestige (topps pristine isnt the manufacture, topps is).

Yeah, we are changing it to "card type". Like base, insert, etc.

How abut some check boxes? For instance, use my "Card Type" suggestion and just under it have:

Autograph
Game Used
Rookie
Press Plate
Graded

Have these as options that have check boxes?

not that you asked me specifically, but i like that idea....anything that requires less typing will make this particular site function more user friendly

Adding them is just a matter of heading the AdminCP and adding the cats, so that's not an issue. We are just missing images for all the card types out there ;)

Anyhow, back to what you are requesting, and sorry if I keep asking the same things but I am not a collector myself, so bare with me.

The purpose of the "Card Name" field, is to take into account cards that do not have a Player Name and Player Last Name field. Am I understanding correctly that you want to remove this field (including its auto generation with the combination of Player Name and Player Last Name, which was used also by the CSV importer in case people do not have a unique field but a separate field for a player's last and first name).

So, this Card Type field should replace the Card Name field, and all cards will use the Player Name and Player First Name fields? And if this is the case, can you list all the values that need to be available in the Card Type field?

About all the other fields, take a look and let me know which ones are inappropriate, and/or useless.

Finally, when requesting a new field, always remember to let me know if this field is required in the CSV file - choose this carefully, as having too many required fields will cause the CSV importer to reject the less complete card lists.

I got the card to add fine without error and two nice pictures. Nice work this is AWESOME. Although my wife will not like you because now I will get nothing else done today. Nice work again.

Also, is there a way to allow for multiple player names? Some cards have up to eight players on them.

Have a problem with card numbers starting with dp or bhp followed by a number. The field does not accept anything else but a number.

Yes, please replace with Card Type. Here is the drop down list:

Base
Insert
Parallel
Other

Then have "check boxes" just under it with:

Autograph
Game Used
Rookie
Press Plate
Graded

Do what I do and buy your wife a gift card to a spa when you want her to be gone for the day. Gets her out of the house and let's you do some work! Make sue the spa is about 1 hour away. :)
