its time to fire the upper management. Seriously get the suits out and let them worry about the finances not the hockey part. How many more years will fans keep filling the arenas supporting a losing team?

The team is not working as a team to there fullest they could be doing way better they need to stop and think about what there doing wrong (poor defense ) Way to many turn overs the coach needs to be harder on the players from what i read my fav player Wellwood comes to practice with a slurpee and a smoke in his mouth that just make me sick there are so many things wrong with the leafs right now.
Management needs to get out.
Coach needs to go if he can't pull his team together i really like Paul and think he could be good for the team we also need to make some trades.
Carlo i think needs to be traded or just dropped he will always be injured although i think he is a great player but we cant afford to have injury pron players on our team.
There are very few players on my leafs right now that i see even giving it there all i will name a few.
Blake that guy gives it everything he has got and more every single game A+ player and a must for the leafs.
Gill he needs to start standing up and swinging he is a big guy and can do alot more for the leafs.
Sundin now i have seen a big change in Sundin i am sure his face off wins are dropping in way of wins. He needs to take more shots on net this goes for all the players sure last night we had a lot of shots but that needs to be done every game.
I also think they need to find one of there players this year that can be how tucker was last year he found a spot and stuck with it right beside the net and he was on fire why cant they dig something up this year???.
I am starting to think they have lost all hope of ever winning the cup as it has been so long since the team has done so.
As for how long will the fans still fill the seats?? I am sure that is something they never have to worry about as toronto fans are the most loyal hockey fans out there, you may disagree but its the truth
I am done bye

You guys sound like Kings fans!!!

We feel the same way about the Kings
The smoke they have been blowing up our butt has been "We are Re-Building"
Every year is part of a 5 Year plan....I think since Gretzky (Shhhh you know - The guy who clipped Gilmour in 93) left....
BTW - If it makes everyone feel better, I was at the game and it felt like there was more Maple Leafs fans in the building than Kings fans....If it wasnt for the Horn or Music when the Kings scored....it would have been a quiet building....

The following people need to go.....
Richard Petty
John Ferguson Jr.
The scouting staff - when did they actually come up with a decent draft pick in the last 15 years.....
Players That Have to go...
Raycroft
Kubina - $5mill a year for this stiff
Blake
Tucker
McCabe
and as much as it pains me because he is my favorite player.....
Sundin - They should trade him at the deadline and then resign him in the summer....
As for Paul Maurice I like him and I don't blame him for this, this is ALL a management problem.
Hell Bill you're quote about the fans, we could suit up for Leafs and stink the joint out and they would still fill the arena!!!

I doubt if anyone will agree with me but I'm gonna say it anyways. They could fix the Leafettes by selling the team and sending it to Hamilton !! Then rebuild from the ground up - drafting, minors, management the whole thing. They are an incredulously arrogant and pompous bunch of as*es. But they wont do that...too much tradition. Yeah right when was the last time a Leaf player won ANYTHING, any individual honour. And the Selky and Lady Bing dont count. Thats like being Miss Congeniality.
Get rid of the old tired players -
Sundin - lots of talent, but he's done ..too many years captaining a sinking ship
Tucker - people see him for what he really is - a five goal scorer. and its getting kinda sad seeing him roughed up and "hurt" every game. A very little man in a big man's sport.
McCabe - he is just not any good. period.
Antropov - looks like a giraffe on skates, about as graceful too, all he has to offer is a long reach. Oh yeah pucks do bounce in off him.Thats how Domi used to score too.
Raycraft - no point saying anything about Mr. Raycraft. just GO AWAY !!
Kaberle - another guy too small to make a difference. Yes he is gifted offensively BUT HE'S A DEFENSEMAN. average size guys just push him off the puck. Useless in front of the net and in the corners USELESS.
Kubina - 5 million eh? remember when winning the lottery was a million bucks Kubina is 5 lottery wins.
now who does that leave you - Bell, Kilgor, Steen, Gill, Belak, Wellwood (have you seen the size of his stick?), Devereaux,Tlusty,White,Wisnewski. Not exactly an awe inspiring core to build a cup winner.
BLOW IT ALL UP
CHANGE THE TEAM NAME
send the losers to Hamilton and start over.

WOW - you guys really do sound like Kings fans!!!!

I dont think the Original 6 teams will ever move or change names....then again they did change the division and conference names....I loved those traditional names.....I liked Smythe Division more than Pacific Division.....
As for ragging on your team, Kings fans have been fed the whole 3 or 5 year plan since the 90s.....Kings now have a bunch of prospects...just need to get them in sync with each other....
We have a core of Kopitar, Brown, O'Sullivan, Frolov, Cammalleri, Johnson, Visnovsky and soon Bernier (LaBarbera as back-up).....everyone else on the Team should be liquidated (As Austin Powers would say)
Of course when you rival across town wins a Cup.....its like throwing salt in a wound......but I think GM Lombardi is doing the right thing

Kings have such a bright future!
The Leafs.. well another 3rd period choke tonight. But that's a good thing. I think by the end of tonight, they'll be 29th in the League and the Kings will only be 2 points behind them!

Looks like there might be a little blowup over the Scotty Bowman interview on HNIC last night as well. Things need to change there.
Read a good one today.
