Its really sad that the leafs have dropped down this way, being one of the original six teams.. Now I guess its time to restructure the team, so the big Question now is will Mats Sundin wave his no trade clause and get trader.
Hey we just might see pogge play on tuesday which is a big wake up call for RayCroft, lets just see what happens.. It was intresting to see Raycroft Dressed and sitting, heck he wasn't even sitting with the team either... not enough room on the bench... that must have been a big kick in the .... well you know..
Thanks

I seriously think the upper management has to go. I think the leafs have been in denial about rebuilding. In the past they could just buy a quick fix for the playoffs, however times have changed.
Its time to send Sundin away. Give the man a chance to win on a team that can send us a couple of players to build a team around. Trade away some of our high price players to get some young talant to build around.
Its time...

there's no guaranteed team to win the cup.........if he (Sundin) was gonna jump ship to WIN, where would that be? as captain of one of THE most storied hockey franchises, I think he may choose to end his career with the Leafs.......IF they ditch Ferguson, cause Maurice is not the problem.......he just needs to know that someone is trying to put together a winner and the GM should never have been hired in the first place.....I feel for the guy as he was kinda set-up.........bring on Scotty Bowman.......and bring in Cujo to mentour Pogge

Bring back Clark and Gilmour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Even Rick Vaive would be a help...............
I'm trying to raise my 6month old son to be a Leafs fan............but it is hard!

I agree you can only play with what you got. Petty needs to go as bad as Ferguson does.

Well lets say Sundin does give up his no trade Clause, and he does get Traded.. who is going to be Captain? Tucker? Antropov? Kaberle? McCabe? Out of the Four who would you go with?
I would go with... Kaberle or Tucker..
Thanks

have you ever noticed that certian types of players win
and certain talented players never win
the leafs lack winners, top to bottom
and for the last 30 years they have overspent onplayers well past their prime. trading draft picks for guys on their last legs, trying to get 1 or 2 more playoff home games. i read in the papers here a couple years ago that the team makes in PROFITS - 2.5-3 million dollars for each and every home playoff date.
so out go the draft picks in come the rent a players
Leetch, Nieuwendyk, Francis, Housley (who sat during the playoffs!!)
they act like junkies going for a quik high and forgetting about the ramifactions of tomorrow.
