The Paranormal and the Unexplainable...

My roommate and I were watching a movie on youtube last night of the scariest ghosts actually caught on tape. We began talking about experiences we have had or hauntings that we had known about. Has anyone else ever had any experiences with the paranormal or the unexplainable? Do you believe in ghosts or not? As for me and my roommate (both Evangelical Christians), we believe someone's spirit cannot stay on earth. However, we believe there are demons living amongst us. So, what do you think? I have actually had a few experiences. When I was 8, my grandma moved here from Wisconsin. I remember the first time I ever went into her house. I had the oddest feeling. When I would spend the night there, I heard noises in the kitchen. I heard them for a few years, and now I don't anymore. Once I heard the door knob on my grandma's bed room door turning. One night, maybe 2 years ago, I was laying in her bed and saw a white figure at the end. I looked really quick and it was gone. A few minutes later, out of the corner of my eye, I saw the same white figure right beside me, reaching out to touch me. I couldn't move, I didn't even turn my head at first. When I did, it disappered.

I know my house is haunted by my papaw or mamaw.. maybe both. They're the only ones who ever lived here. When we were painting and getting things ready to move in, I heard someone in my room walking. I thought it was my dad so I went to talk to him. No one was there. Him and everyone else was in the garage. My little sister had the same thing happen to her a couple days before.

The 2nd night we were here, I was laying in bed and saw a completely black figure walk in front of the bathroom. it was really close to the cieling, so i know it wasnt my mom or dad.. which couldnt have been anyway. i saw it go by a second time. it completely blocked out the wall. SO weird.

I've heard taps on the walls. seen things from the corner of my eyes. A couple weeks ago, I was sitting in the floor and then I started seeing all this black stuff floating around me. It was black then turned realllly bright white. it was kind of like someone was throwing glitter down. it was ONLY around me. i thought i was losing my mind so i didn't tell anyone. the next day i told ash and she had seen the same thing the day before i did!

sometimes there's a bad smell that stays for just a couple seconds. dad has smelled it in the garage a couple times. some in his and mom's room. and i did once in his room. that hasn't happened for a while.

my papaw died last march. 8 days after he died, ashley was at my grandma and grandpa's. it was a saturday and he usually called saturday mornings. so ash answered the phone and all that was said was my grandma's name. it was staticy and kind of faded i think she said. she gave the phone to my grandma, and no one was there. when he used to call, all he would say was my grandma's name and then we'd take the phone to her. i've read about others getting phone calls from the dead before. but i never thought it could happen to someone i know!

i love the show ghost hunters on scifi. after seeing some stuff on there, i can't NOT believe there's ghosts. I've been a believer since I was 10. It's hard to think that there's someone there you can't see, but it's hard to not believe it after some things i've seen.

Interesting stuff.

Only once can I say I had something strange happen. I was about 8 years old, and when I was laying in bed at night I opened my eyes to see what appeared to be 2 dark sillouette- human shaped figures beside my bed.
They reached out to me and I couldn't moved, scream, or anything, it felt heavy on my body for a few seconds, and then it was gone/over.

I have NEVER since experienced ANYTHING at all paranormal related. And in actuality, I wish I would because I am very fascinated at the possibility that this stuff is real. I really need to experience something more to believe, even though I do believe paranormal stuff is real.

I love watching Ghost Hunters, and recently Paranormal State.

And Shane1911, that's some spooky stuff there, you are not off your rocker, I believe all that you posted, keep us updated...

Everything Shayne said goes for me too. Except she left something out. The night after my papaw died I was laying in bed and just out of no where I saw a bright white thing float by my face...twice. And then I felt someone poke my side. Thats happened several times. So cool!! :)

Oh yeah! I forgot about that! I also saw white thing floating across the room. I haven't had any pokes, but I wish I would!!

However, one time, my friends and I (all very open minded) decided to experiment with a seance. We found a name of someone who died recently in our area and tried to "summon" him. We had an audio recorder the whole time.

We didn't hear anything during the initial experience, but when we went back and listened to the audio recording, we had some strange findings. First, when my friend had just set up the audio recorder to test it (before the seance started), there was a strange sound that sounded like someone saying the word "conviction". We were all out of the room at the time, so we know it wasn't any of us. Secondly, during the seance, we used a "rap once for yes, rap twice for no" method. On the audio recording, after all of our questions, we heard either one or two raps immediately following our questions.

I'm an avid believer in many paranormalities and anomalies, especially ghosts.

Thats pretty neat!

We have an ouija board and sometimes we get it out and talk to my mamaw. Its so weird because she'll answer everything and when she says its gonna happen it usually does around that time. And just the way the board acts and stuff mom says she acted the same way. Its so weird to think about how you can see/hear/talk to the dead but its really interesting and fascinating!
