    Exactly! Give him some time...

He did look extremely sharp in that game. I was jumping up and down that I got to see my boy's first career TD pass! Not many people will be pulling for him to succeed more than me!

thats too bad.....i think he could have played another year, but its cool.....i truely enjoyed watching brett play football.....ill never forget that touching monday nighter he played a day after his father had passed.....glad i got to see him play in person, and on the tube for 16 years

as far as his place in history, and the opinion poll, i have no problem putting brett in with the top 5 QBs ever.....montana will always be special for what he did in the super bowls.......but he easily passed marino in my book.....the records, the SB, and the intangibles do it for me.....his consecutive games streak is one of the most amazing things ive seen done in football

thanks for all the great years brett!!

Consecutive game streak is the most impressive to me as well. He may not have always played the smartest, but he played with his heart. Thanks for the videos.

I for one wished this day would never come. But we all know it had to one day. I`d have loved to see him play one more year. Like Troy Aikman said maybe the closer it gets to the season maybe he`ll change his mind and come back. But that`s wishful thinkin. I don`t really care about polls, to me he is the best to ever play quarterback. Not taking anything away for Montana, Marino or Elway. Maybe a few years from now I`ll be saying Payton is the best. But I doubt it.

I can only hope that Rodgers lives up to the hype. To many hyped up qbs nowdays suck. I agree give him time, one game a star doesn`t make. He seems pretty fragile to me. We`ll see. Man I LOVED to watch Brett play!! He made plays that tore your heart out, but he more than made up for that with all the awesome plays he made. He was a true joy to watch play the game! He`ll be missed that`s for sure.

I wish nothing but the best for him and his family, now and in the future!! This is a sad day for me! Goodbye Brett, you`ve given me a million AWESOME memories to keep and cherish!!

I will remember him the most for his athleticism and durability on the field. I hated him in the 90s because he was so great. But, in recent years I really enjoyed watching him play and started to root for him. Its too bad he couldn't have retired with a Super bowl appearance. Definitely ranks in the top five QB's of all-time.
