Thumbs down The White Envelope Massacre!!!!

I am so tierd of people using white envelopes! I have just received 2 packages via mail that were in white envelopes and before I even opened them I knew that both had been damaged!! See people try this method because they refuse to pay the xtra $ for the bubbler & postal $... But what about the damage to the card.. I just had to send back a sweet rookie threads 2 color Alexander Ovechkin because the person decided to mail it in a white envelope! WRONG, for the hobby, for the card, just wrong.... LMK what you guys/gals think of all this....

I have decided that in my signature to make it very clear that I will reject and return any items that I recieve via white envelopes!!! Sad but its not worth trading for something really nice that you want or need and to get it damaged!!!!

You should discuss this with your trading partner before posting the trade. Feel free to include it in the Trade Manager too (add a note like "will send in a bubble mailer" or "will send in a white envelope").

I personally don't mind white envelope if it is for a single card trade or some base cards, or if bubble wrap or cardboard are used... I usually try to ask my trading partner how they want to send/come to an agreement if i am worried about it.

yeah, personally, i would only send nicer cards in a bubble mailer, but everyone's different... and unless you talk about it before making the trade you never know. so, just let your partner know you prefer that and i'm sure things will work out. hope this helps :)

White envelopes go through a sorting machine that bends everything. That's why you pay extra for the First Class Package service to send stuff in bubble envelopes or some kind of rigid packaging. They don't go through a machine.

ah that explains the "non machinable" first class rate (58 cents)... usually if you add cardboard in there it can't go through the machine.

this is why we need a exclusive forum for traders with 50-100 feedback and over, some may not agree but its easier to trade and dont need to talk about this problem

Yea I know what you mean. I always always send in a bubble mailer. I have gotten cards a few times in plain white mailers, Complete bull. The only thing that makes me madder is tape on the toploaders. I mail my trades like this
Card into penny sleeve, card into top loader or if its a big team cards inbetween two toploaders together. then they go into TEAM BAGS, which takes away the need for anytape around or near the cards. then they go into a bubble mailer. Mailer is sealed, and I put tape in both ends of the mailer and over the address so nothing can wash away the address. I try to take every option I can in making sure cards get where they need to. Its to bad not everyone dose the same. That really sucks about the Ovechie. He's a great player and it sucks when you get a damaged card of such a high qual player.
