Actually Eli did sit half his first year, which I'm sure was helpful to him. And I did say, "A QB has to be outstanding to even have a chance his first year." Peyton is better than outstanding.
I think the Falcons WANT TO WAIT a bit before starting him, but they won't have much of a choice
That's exactly right. It would be better if they could, but they're not going to have any other option most likely.

cool by me, I don't mind either way, I like RC's starting their rookie year, I think it helps them in all honesty, trial by fire so to speak, lol. Daniel.

The Patriots had a great draft :(
I think Joe Flacco is over-rated.

I think that it is too early to try and figure out who had a good draft or a bad draft. In a couple years you can look back and decide that. I did like my Steelers picking up a bigger back and a taller receiver. I feel better about the season now.

bearfield your way off about the draft not being a big deal... it is for sure a big deal
after all most of the 1st rounders do eventually start if not their first year then a few years later...
also how can the draft not be a big deal to the nfl when without the nfl draft each year there would be no NFL teams or players
After all just about every player i would say at least a strong 90 percent or more was
once drafted from college to the nfl
