Show Off Your First Ever GU or Auto card
Nowadays, this hobby seems more and more like a business, so to bring some sentimentality in the card industry, it would be cool if everyone can show off (or at least remember) their first ever GU or auto. A scan of the card would be great!
My first ever GU (in my first ever PACK) was a 02-03 Upper Deck Honor Roll Caron Butler Rookie GU. Was intrigued from the start and has been collecting ever since.

My first ever auto was the day after I pulled the Caron Butler. Decided to go for a few packs of 04-05 Upper Deck All Star Lineup, and pulled the case hit: Boris Diaw auto! Not too high end of a brand, but I don't care!

Took me almost 5 years to get a gu/auto, mainly because in my early days I would buy the cheapest stuff available (ud collectors choice, baby!) So my first gu was a redemption from 01-02 topps. I was supposed to get some nice Jordan card but instead I wound up with a Loren Woods auto.. wasn't even bummed because I was just so stoked about having an autographed card.

heck, this is wat u guys are gonna love. when i first started collecting, i didnt know there was such things as "game used cards" or "autographed cards" so on that fateful day when i bought a box of topps bazooka from target, u wouldnt believe how surprised i was when i opened it and found a nate robinson rookie card that had a piece of his shooting shirt on it. i couldnt believe that they actually would do that. to be quite honest, ever since that ive pulled so many gu's i cant even count, to this day though, i still havent pulled an auto. the robinson pic is in my bucket under gu'd. also, once i pulled that is when i really got into the hobby. that nite i went on ebay and won 3 spx dual swatches from the 05-06 of t-mac, jermaine oneal, and steve francis and still have all 3 to this day. i owe my entire collecting career to that nate robinson card.

my first GU was a no-name goalie for the Blackhawks, pulled from one of the packs of a 12 pack for $10 things (and my only hockey GU to date)....it was pretty sweet! my first basketball GU was from one of the 2 GU for $10 packs....it was a 00-01 Fleer Feel the Game Allen Iverson and same set Robert Horry.
got a 2006-07 USA Baseball GU (my only baseball GU) Matt Newman from a trade on here
and my first football GU is incoming from a trade on here too....2007 Donruss Nate Burleson
in all, I think I have 14 or 15 GU's (1 hockey, baseball, football, the rest basketball)

My first GU card was from 2003-04 Upper Deck. A Jason Kidd Upper Deck All-Star Authentic card! I was so excited! Although I would have rather pulled the two D-Wade RC Inserts that my friend pulled out of ONE pack right next to me! (he eventually lost them!) I was still excited. However, I sold it getting rid of most of my collection and have only recently traded for another one! Scan of that is in my bucket. A nice reminder of that day, even if it isn't the exact card.
