Since 24 hours have passed, SCF staff will pick for the Raptors. SO....
With the 17th pick in the NBA Draft, the Toronto Raptors select:
Kosta Koufos out of Ohio State
Position: PF/C
Height: 7’0”
Weight: 265lbs
Something the Raptors have been missing has been a big man that does the dirty work to help complement Chris Bosh.
Being a Third Team All-Big Ten in 2008, Big Ten All-Freshman Team in 2008, McDonald’s All-American High School in 2007, as well as an Under-18 European Championship MVP in 2007, Koufos is an all-around player with the ability to score from long-range, uses the glass well on jump shots, and has to touch to finish down low. Being looked at as a combination of Tim Duncan and Zydrunas Ilgaukas, this international big man is a hard worker, good rebounder and great shot-blocker.

With the eighteenth pick in the 2008 nba draft, the Washington Wizards select..
Brandon Rush from the University of Kansas
6'6" / 210 lbs
SG/SF
We believe Brandon Rush is a future all star, in the mold of Brandon Roy and Joe Johnson. He is incredibly unselfish for a shooting guard, but can score when the team needs it. He is an excellent defender with his quick feet and enormous wingspan, and can shoot the three very accurately. Between him and Gilbert Arenas, the backcourt, though somewhat unconventional, will be one of the most balanced and deadly in the NBA.

i dont think he would be a starter anytime soon with butler, arenas and jaminson being there 3 guys, but he would be a terrific role player/bench player (6th man possibly)Hidden Content

Butler is the 3. He's taking over for Stevenson/Daniels. Arenas technically goes to point, but it would be a similar system to what the Blazers have, with Blake and Roy, where Roy plays point sometimes.

I know I'm biased as a born and raised Jayhawk...... but whomever drafts Brandon Rush is getting a guy who can handle the NBA floor well ahead of most of the guys that are taken ahead of him......

With the 19th pick in the 2008 NBA Draft, the Cleveland Cavaliers select Chris Douglas-Roberts, guard from Memphis.
LeBron needs someone to help take some of the scoring load off his shoulders, and CDR can do just that. At 6'7", he can drive to the hole or pull up for the jumpshot. His size and versatility allow him to play both inside and outside, as he creates match-up nightmares for opponents. What the Cavaliers really need is a reliable big man (Zydrunas is by no means reliable), but with no outstanding prospects left on the board they take the best fit player for their system.
