Seriously....WHY?!
This has happened to me over 10 times in the past WEEK ALONE.
I send a message to someone, or reply to their post saying something along the lines of:
I'm interested in (insert card here). Usually it's just one card--that books anywhere between $8-$20, since I'm working on a GU set that has fairly low BV's on most of them.
Then, they respond with this:
I like your Favre Auto.
REALLY?! Why is it so damn difficult to trade on this site with people?
You have an $8 GU I want, and you tell me all you saw was a Favre Auto?
I have over 200 GU/Autos in my bucket. You really mean to tell me all you saw was a Favre auto? You can't just spare me and pick something out that you could use as tradebait later on down the road of a lower end GU?
Why is this happening all the time? I like a $10-$20 card, and every damn response I get is mentioning a card of at least a BV of $100 that they like.
Sorry, but I had to vent. This is rediculous.
Now I remember why I was going to get out of FB/BB/BKB stuff.

I know how you feel. Same thing happened to me when I had a Peterson Bowman Chrome. Eventually I just took it off my site and Bucket, and when there was a card I needed at about equal value to the Peterson, I offered it up and traded it.

Another one of my reasons for leaving collecting behind....no one wants anything thats under $100, its point less....

You can go the extra mile and say only need that card bv $$ but still some people don't get the hint. This has been a all too recurring theme especially dealing with newer members that aren't new to trading.

i feel for you man! i have had this happen way to many times still to me. or i ask for a terrible player card and they only see a star auto/gu. it is very frusterating. my advice is those people obviously arent good traders, i would put them on my ignore list. it will safe you stress in the future, and will not waste your time any longer.

I have to agree with you, it is getting very frustrating. You can definately tell that school is out due to all the 12 year olds trying to trade $8BV cards for $100BV cards so they can sell them on the bay. It's not about collecting, it's about getting money and frankly it's frustrating.

Due To Rules Violations
1 of two things could be happening here..1st being that alot of people dont wanna trade just for the sake of trading anymore...meaning that postage costs are rising gas prices are rising alot of people dont wanna take the extra time to bother with lower end trading...I do see your frustration with it because I too am collecting several sets at the moment...but typically have found ebay (especially in the offseason to be alot better) for me...2nd point is maybe they have tunnel vision meaning once they see a higher end card they cant think or look at anything else...Favre is a hot name in the hobby especially now that he has retired...If you dont wanna be bothered with having people inquire about it then you can take it off your list....PC/NFT it (Which I too hate doing) or just ignore them...

i feel you also, i am mainly a low end collector but when i pick up a nice cards bv $50 or more and list it for trade i get a list of $2 and lower cards that they will be "happy" to trade me for it.
