I'm relatively new to online trading, but next to opening packs, I think it's the most exciting part of the hobby. Frankly, most of the people I've dealt with have been pleasant and fair to deal with. Sure there's a handful of cherry pickers who want something for nothing. I also see a lot of people start threads that say things like "Looking for Tom Brady autos" but when you look at their trade lists there's nothing but a handfull of $10 GU's. But I'm not quite sure what so offending. A simple 'no thank you' usually does the trick and you move on...
a couple of other things at work here:
-the cost of postage and mailers definitely make $5-$10 trades difficult unless both sides are really motivated (maybe there should be a separate forum low value trading like there is for high value trading)
-the widespread practice overvaluing your own cards and undervaluing what you're trading for. I completely admit to doing this myself
-too many people trading strictly by book values instead of using book values as a guide. Frankly, with so much online trading I wish beckett would publish a trade value which I think can be vastly different than high BV (or maybe that would just cause more problems
)
(jeez, is someone bored at work today, i didn't mean to write that much...
)

Prim Example A Couple Of Days Ago This Guy Pm Me About This Triple Gu Tom Brady 2 Color Jersey Card I Had......he Tells Me He Is Intrested And Tells Me To Check His Bucket... I Tell Him I Dont Have Time To Check His Bucket Right Now,he Pm Me Back And Says He Has Alot Of Black Qbs ( This Is What I Collect).....i Tell Him To Make Me A Deal For The Brady.....he Come Back With A Jeff Blake Gu,and A Byron Leftwich Topps Rookie (the Base Rookie).....of Course I Said No.....anyway Later On I Checked His Bucket ,and Of What I Wanted The Two Cards He Offered Me For The Brady Was Not Even In His Bucket, But He Had Plenty Of Vince Young , Mike Vick, Donovan Mcnabb Gu In His Bucket That I Would Have Easily Traded The Brady For....but After That Insulting Offer I Just Ignored The Rest Of His Pms.....i Later Traded The Brady For A Randall Cunningham Donruss Classic Auto

here are a few things that bother me,
1. i mostly collect hofer autos now ,and started about 6 or 7 years, so i'm not new to it. when i post i am looking for hofer autos a get the cmb thing where they have 1 or 2 low value hofer autos which i don't want. i decline and they go right to the ignore list.
2. someone wants one of my $100 autos of a loser player, i ask for an offer, they say ebay sales are $30, i tell them see ebay, they proceed to insult the punctuation of my sig. it will be here at the end. right to my ignore list they go.
3. someone asks for a particular player, i send link to bucket page containing that player, and they respond asking about, guess who>>>,right favre, and he is in my pc marked PC NFT, what is this, can't 12 year olds read? off to ignore list.
4. i've been collecting autos since i pulled my first 91 pro line auto, so there isn't anybody been collecting autos longer. i will also take non hofers that i happen to like, kosar, boomer, and quite a few others. lately, card companys have been coming out with quite a few low numbered subsets. someone gets a kosar cut auto numbered under 25 and they think its worth $100. welcome to my ignore list.
5. i'm about done here except i'll mention that the newbies don't appear to be able to read or understand PC NFT. i have about 27 pages for trade in my bucket and also have 7 marked NFT PC, and you got it, they want a favre in the PC NFT page. ignore list.
i better quit, i'm starting to repeat myself.
i wonder how many ignore pages i'm on. ha ha, here is my bucket, after that my sig.
