no problem! not everyone has the chance to watch the games like I do, and by me giving these recaps, everyone can stay informed just by being subscribed to the thread instead of no1 knowing whats going on until 1 month from now. I thought everyone involved in the contest would love to stay involved with the olympics and even root for their favorite teams/players.

USA Still Perfect in Beijing
92 USA (3-0) VS (1-2) GREECE 69
GAME RECAP:
After one quarter, the U.S. Men's Basketball Team seemed to be in trouble for the first time in this year's Olympics. Starting point guard Jason Kidd was in foul trouble and the U.S. trailed early and was clinging to just a four-point lead after a quarter against a Greece team that beat the United States two years ago in the FIBA World Championship.
The troubles quickly subsided as the U.S. cranked up the defensive pressure and took advantage of its strength in transition to outscore Greece by 15 in the second quarter for a 19-point halftime edge on its way to a 92-69 victory. The U.S. is now 3-0 in Beijing and clinched a spot in the next round with the victory.

USA Remains Perfect in Beijing
119 USA (4-0) VS (3-1) Spain 82
GAME RECAP
It was as impressive of a performance as you will ever see. The U.S. Team, which was expected to be challenged by the reigning world champions, cruised past Spain, 119-82, on Saturday to remain undefeated (4-0) and secure the top seed in Group B.
Highlighted by tenacious defense, scorching 3-point shooting and exhilarating dunks and passes, USA showed why it is the favorites to win gold at the Beijing Olympics.
Never really contested, the U.S. shot a blistering 12-of-25 from downtown and 19-of-24 from the free throw line. Spain was limited to just 6-of-28 shooting from beyond the arc.
