And another thing I just don't understand is were in the world they get there book values??

The Rod Gardner auto in my bucket books 60.00 the only other time I seen one sell besides mine was for 5.00 and I paid 2.00 for mine so who are the other 48 people willing to pay 60.00??

and why would you need or want a bookvalue?? most people sell there cards way under a "bookvalue" because that's what they can live with and most people do trades on what they fill is fair that's kinda why I'm not in a big trading mode more of a buying nothing more than I hate than not getting a trade done because of beckett's price......

I know it sounds dumb but what is the purpose of a magazine to tell you this card somewhere sells for this amount but e-bay is everywhere and you might not get half that amount......

There is no more available pricing in 'My Collections' or Organize as what its called now. You have to pay/subscribe for any kind of pricing as far as I understand it. The 'free' pricing in My Collections was a big reason why I even used Beckett. But now, I will hardly ever go there any more. The Beckett staff is spewing so much PR and spin, its working against them even though they want you to know it.

Maybe most people will get wake up from Beckett having a hold of them, and use real market values for most cards. Beckett was never really an 'arbitrary' value guide, though it was nice to at least have some kind of comprehensive guide as a reference. They really messed themselves up from greed.

Another thing was that they kept the site change under wraps for a long time. I mean, people knew they were beta testing, but there was never any real info out in the open on it until a few days before they actually changed over to the new site. You would think a company like Beckett would have handled it much better knowing its customer base. If they did so, there would have been a much more positive response.

Not sure, I was just hoping that they would have a basic price for the base cards atleast so I could try to complete my set.

Not sure about most people, But I do know of people who do this. They use the beckett pricing to determine the price they will sell a card for. Yeah, most people don't charge anywhere near what Beckett says the card is worth, but as an average, most are around 30% of what beckett lists as. I liked beckett just so I had an idea of where to set a market price at. Yeah, I traded BV for BV, but not sure how this is gonna work out now. No more BV for everyone, unless someone figures out how to use the stupid site.

You can;t add a card to your collection and figure out the BV anymore. It is cool that you can subscribe to pricing for just a certain player, sport etc.... It is also cool how it shows you better stats for your cards and more info on them than before. If they could make it easier to navigate the new My Collections would be awesome. Of course they found a way to get more money and figured out our loophole for free pricing, lol.

so far I have found many photos of cards that do not match up with their description below it..

    My 1990 Topps #6 Vince Coleman RB/(50 consecutive/stolen bases)
actually has a photo basketball player Lucius Allen as the photo..

There are a LOT like that as well

    Beckett sucks

Beckett definately screwed up they had plenty of members but this move is going to kill that site. I just started to build a real good trading reputation with about 40 trades and some up near the $600-$1000 in BV and now I have to start all over. Man that ticks me off. I like this site so far just hate starting over.
