NO WAY! even if he does give the cards back, he didnt pay for shipping, (was shipping specified like a certain amount of days?) if shipping is specified then you probably have to give him like 25 percent back

If you refund his money, make sure he pays for return shipping, and do not refund the original shipping costs that he paid or the Ebay and Paypal fees. He should cover all of that. But, unless you stated a return policy in the auction, saying you accepted returns, I'd tell him no.

The auction said nothing about a return policy. BUT...all of my auctions have from then on!

I know he received the cards and just tried to sell them at a show. Once he couldn't he decided to file a dispute.

I don't sell much and I think the negative feedback if I don't give a refund will possibly hurt me. I have requested that he leave positive feedback and drop the PayPal dispute before discussing a refund.

Well that is more than likely the case man but in the end you made good on your end. The bottom line is that you just found that unlucky punk that thought he could make a quick buck and found out that his plan misfired. I wouldnt worry about the negative feedback man, eventually we all run into that one prick. Just keep his money and tell him to grow up or shut up.

I offered FREE shipping in the original auction and the amount of days was NOT disclosed on the auction. I did however ship in the same amount of days as it took him to pay (waited 4 days to pay).

I wouldn't give him anything back. Let him leave the negative feedback. Who cares. One bad rating wont kill you. I once had some loser who paid like $250-$300 for a Nomo jersey # card (it was like #10/50 or something from 01 leaf certified) and he was from like Hong Kong. I specifically said in my auction paypal or money order only. I never got my money and sent the guy many emails. All of a sudden out of nowhere he posts a negative rating saying that he sent me CASH in the mail and that I never sent him his cards. I just put a response back that he claimed to have sent cash in a regular envelope from overseas. What can you do? If he posts a negative comment just leave a response saying that you have confirmation he rec'd cards one day and then like all of a sudden he just so happens to get them and that he tried to scam you. I may also file a complaint with paypal and ebay against him. Save the email he sent you many days after he filed the complaint which says he just received them and then forward them the confirmation that shows he clearly received many days before.
