The decision to have sex and a baby is of the daughter and not the mother. The mother was trying to make a point on her house and guess what, the daughter didn't follow them. That does not mean she is contradicting herself on her beliefs. This is anot a valid point ot bash someone over politics.
Our parents teach us not to do drugs and to go to school. If you do it, it is not their fault. They can't be with u 24-hours a day.

This is a non issue being driven by the democrats who are desperate to disparage the republican candidates character since Obama has none himself.
The age of consent in Alaska is 16. Palin's daughter did nothing wrong (legally) and she did nothing "bad" either, unless you believe that having sex or getting pregnant and marrying the father is bad.
Shows significant moral character and good upbringing if you ask me.

You can and it will show up before it gets edited out. We did it with the Phi Sig wiki page. We listed a brother as a notable Phi Sig because he is the editor of the school paper and it showed up for a few minutes until it was edited out.

McCain knew she was pregnant--which proves my point.

I'll bet you $100 paypal that I can edit Wikipedia to input a biased, right-wing opinion. I see too many college papers failed for using this site as a source. Anyone who writes any sort of persuasive piece intentionally refrains from using this. I'll let you reconsider before you, as the site's owner, make illegal wagers.

Again, no one seems to grasp the point of the thread (save for Red). What's the point of debating whether or not sex at an early age is good? Because you've no knowledge elsewhere? Conservatives love the red herring, and I'm sick of it.

Now I'm completely confused ! Exactly what is THE point of the thread ?
You said "Bad, bad politics on McCain's part."
and Red said "irrelevant"
Which is it ?
Is it that the daughter didn't follow her mother's wish of abstinence until marriage ? No matter how good a parent someone is children will make their own decisions.
Is it the "family ties" issue that bothers you ? She's going to do the right thing and marry the father. What else do you want ? Life isn't all about doing the right thing all the time. A large portion of character and good moral fiber is shown by what a person does AFTER they've made a mistake. And in this case did she (the daughter) even make a mistake ?

Point of the thread: Palin was not thoroughly vetted. You clearly did not read my prior posts, as this has now been stated thrice.

How many votes do you think McCain/Palin will lose because of this?
