This is by far the most disturbing article I have read in years.

Obama has stated that he will work for America and not just his party. Now I read that if Obama and Biden stated that they will pursue criminal charges against the Bush administration. Not that they will investigate EVERYONE regardless of political affiliation, but that he will specifically target the Bush Administration. This is VERY scary because he is NOT saying he will pursue charges against ALL criminals. He is talking about REPUBLICAN criminals only.

Democratic vice-presidential nominee Joe Biden said yesterday that he and running mate Barack Obama could pursue criminal charges against the Bush administration if they are elected in November.

Biden's comments, first reported by ABC news, attracted little notice on a day dominated by the drama surrounding his Republican counterpart, Alaska governor Sarah Palin.

But his statements represent the Democrats' strongest vow so far this year to investigate alleged misdeeds committed during the Bush years.

"If there has been a basis upon which you can pursue someone for a criminal violation, they will be pursued," Biden said during a campaign event in Deerfield Beach, Florida, according to ABC.

"[N]ot out of vengeance, not out of retribution," he added, "out of the need to preserve the notion that no one, no attorney general, no president -- no one is above the law."

Obama sounded a similar note in April, vowing that if elected, he would ask his attorney general to initiate a prompt review of Bush-era actions to distinguish between possible "genuine crimes" and "really bad policies".

This is the scariest thing I have read in a long time. A person says when they get elected they will look into REPUBLICAN crimes.

Isn't this what Stalin did? Send his lawyers and soldiers after the opposition party while ignoring his own?

Could you imagine if President Bush in 1999 stated that if elected he would look into all the criminal activities of the Clinton Administration if elected? Like Sandy Berger stealing classified information? Or all the Clinton pardons? Could you imaging if Bush talked about ONLY targeting one political party when he took office?

Scary days ahead.

twist and turn it mike, twist and turn it, saying your going to investigate the out going president is not saying hes going after only republicans, the current president happens to be republican and obama wants to look into some of the things he and his officals did THIS IS SOOOO SCARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus if you didnt do anything wrong, you got nothing to be afraid of.

your interpretation of this article is disturbing! I'm not gonna pile it on, but this thread is silly...more scare tactics using scary words!

The only thing I will say is I'm in favor of ANY president (that means Republican or Democrat) who violates the law or abuses their power to face legal consequence. If Bill Clinton should have been prosecuted, so be it. I'm sure he could afford a good lawyer. However, I don't remember Clinton trying to pardon himself before he left office...If he did, I'd like to hear about it!

To continue the trend: I'm scared, very scared...that people actually believe this bull. This is obviously a cheap attempt to get votes..."Hey, you hate Bush? We do too...If you vote for us, we'll put him in jail!" The same thing will happen as with the whole impeachment thing: nothing! If Bush could be successfully prosecuted, don't you think the Democrat-controlled Congress that has already tried to impeach him would be all over that? Why wait when it could be done now?...This is a sad, lame attempt and would be comical if so many naive people didn't actually believe it.

Do you see any Democrats mentioned? Biden and Obama made it a point to only mention Bush and his administration.

So, why not say, "I will target all corruption and illegal activites regardless of political affiliation." Why target the President? Because he is doing this to get the fringe, left vote that hate President Bush.

Did Stalin not target ONLY those outside his party? Way to twist my words. Yep, I said, "If elected Obama he will kill millions like Stalin." I find it funny how no Democrats have issues with Bush being compared to Hitler. My main point is that Obama is talking about targeting one political party and that is scary. If you don't think it is scary then you are probaly on the side he will not target.
