Endzone dance penalties
Why does T.O. get a penalty for doing the little track meet dance(took like 3 seconds), while I just watched Aaron Rodgers after his TD run, where he ran to the middle of the endzone, spiked the ball, then backs up, jogs to the wall, and does the "leap" into the Greenbay fans (took 6-10 seconds total) and no flag???
Do they just hate T.O. that much??
Just curious, could care less, but seems like a giant doubl standard.

Its because the Lambeau Leap is the coolest TD celebration ever, that's why no flag.....yes I am a Packers fan just stirring the pot.

TO was penalized because he was standing and kneeled down on the ground. once you get up from the ground you can not go back down. so if his knee didnt hit the field he would've been fine

is that true neverfinished? i'm not doubting you thats just a very definitive answer as if you pulled it right out of the rule book.
my two cents... TO has been there before, only jerry has been there more for a receiver, and he should act like it.
Its rodgers first so i think he should get a pass and go a little nuts. (im guessing this would not have been brought up if rodgers wasnt a little bit lavish) but after this one he should be held to the same standard as the rest of em

It's because he went from an upright position onto putting his knee on the ground.
Dumb rule? Yeah. But, TO should know better.

How about players start acting PROFESSIONAL since this is PROFESSIONAL football and just hand the ball to the ref and then go celebrate with his teammates on the sideline!!!!! I don't do the River Dance or act like a track star when I get a project done at work.

I personally like celebrations. I think they fire up a team and get things going. As long as no one is hurt (Physically or mentally) from it, I think they should be able to do whatever they want. If they choose to hand the ball to the ref, I'm fine with that too.
