Actually, in a technical sense...the "limit" is a limit. A police officer can legally pull you over and ticket you for speeding for going 1MPH over the limit. Now, are those the kind of speeding tickets you usually see? Not really but legally they can do it.
As for what I hate when driving (in all my 5 months of driving solo)
- People who will drive out in the road in front of you and risk a collision when there is no one behind you in the first place.
- Idiots that go at or above the speed limit in inclimate weather. YOu need to slow down when it's raining or snowing.
- Idiots that have plenty of time to stop at the sight of a yellow light but run through it anyway.
- Idiots that coast through a red light like they aren't doing anything wrong.
- Idiots who run through a red light after the two-three cars in front of them have all run the light as well
- Tractor-Trailer drivers who can't stay in their own lane, who speed, or just plain don't seem to know how to drive
- People that ride your bumper while you're doing the speed limit
- People that cut you off, then motion to you like you're the idiot
- People that don't understand the whole "wait your turn" concept at an intersection.
- People that don't understnad the whole "right of way" concept anywhere
- Of course, you have to throw cell phone users into the mix. (I once saw a lady who had a phone between her shoulder and her head, a cigarette in her mouth, and a drink of some sort in her hand...all while driving with one hand on the wheel)
- Idiots that don't understand that the speed limit is 35, not 75.

All of you have mentioned some great ones already...
Here are a few of mine:
- Drivers who don't use their turn signals.
- And of course... drunk drivers!

My two favorites are:
Turn signal mere feet before turning
Turn signal while already turning

-People who don't drive at least 10MPH above the speed limit.
-people who are in the high speed lane but are doing less than 20MPH above the speed limit
-People whose vehicles flick rocks up at mine
-People who wash their windshields while driving so that their dirty blue liquid fly through the air only to land on my arm
-People who while on one lane/no passing lane go the speed limit or a mile above or below even though they are holding up 12 cars behind them
-People who are at a double lane 4 way intersection that think they can turn left from the right lane when they CANNOT
-People who stop for chipmonks and squirrels and other animals smaller than a deer
-People who screech their breaks the second they see a cop anywhere... stopped, moving, opposite direction, it doesn't matter to them

I have to second this. At first, I was one of the masses who thought it was fine to go at or above the speed limit in rain, but one day when I was driving about 5 MPH over the limit, a car flew into the intersection without looking - so I and the car behind me had to slow down abruptly, and when I did, my car fishtailed violently (it wasn't even raining that hard!) and slammed into a pole (I only got bruises, but my car was totally ****ed). The other car behind me also skidded and sustained minor damage. It's the only notable accident I have ever been in, and ever since, I make sure to slow the hell down when driving in rain.
- People that ride your bumper while you're doing the speed limit
That would include about everyone. Most people don't like to do the speed limit, such as the poster above. It's why I do 5-10 over on a regular basis; seems to be the way to pacify about everyone.

Many of mine have already been listed, but my main one is tailgating. Do what you do, just don't ride my bumper!

STl_Cardinals_Fan....
I think Khendra might actually be right.
A good friend of mine is an ex-Texas State Trooper and he told me that most departments have guidelines not to pull anyone over unless they are going at least 10 mph over the speed limit just because much of the radar equipment out there is inexact, not to mention if the person were to fight the ticket in court for going only a few miles over the speed limit, the judge will probably dismiss the case.

here are some of mine.
not waving when you let drivers in.
not using turn signals.
gridlocking. entering into an intersection and sitting there because traffic is backed up. Then when the light changes you are still sitting there and the traffic going the other way can't move because of you.
Pulling out too close in front of a car only to turn 100 yards down the road.

Lots used to bother me as I am from the East Coast (southern NH) and used to commute to Mass. every day (did it for 13 years). Since I moved to small town Mid-West most of my issues have gone away! I have not experienced rode rage in 7 years!
