    POLL: Greatest Singer

For a little fun on Monday, I thought we could vote on the greatest singer and hand out the SCF Golden Pipes award. Everybody always does the greatest guitarists, I thought this would be even more debatable. This list is by no means exhaustive, it all depends on what style you like...but I tried to put in people with distinct voices. There are a ton of great singers out there, but a lot of them just blend in with everyone else. I tried to pick the people you recognize immediately.

I went with Aretha, she's got one of the strongest voices ever, and she still can sing as good now as she did in years past.

    I voted Elvis.

I don't notice vocals as much as my parents do, though. Mom is big into vocals, and dad is big into vocals and lyrics. I am much more into the instrumental portions of music.

I thought about putting him in there...he just doesn't seem as distinctive to me as the others. He's definitely got a great voice, just doesn't stand out as much to me. Maybe that's just me.

Yeah he wasn't anywhere in the running, sorry.

Billy Joel not being in the running is understandable...LOL

but not including Marvin is unforgiveable!

Bob Marley should've probably made this list too

My bad...he was on the cusp. Marley was considered as well.
