Mercury. Had incredible range and he sounded great at each end of his spectrum.

I'm surprised to see Elvis in the lead, and by such a wide margin....

There are very few current artists that even hold a candle to the people on this list and those are people like Norah Jones, Michael Buble, John Legend, etc. I'm sorry, but no punk-pop singers are even in the same neighborhood.

davey havok has been in a TRUE PUNK band.. afi, then they switched there sound around, and he is STILL the best singer of all time. nobody will ever have the greatness of a voice he has.. simple as that.

Really, Bob Dylan is on the list? Yikes. He can't sing....he can write tunes but he can't sing anywhere close to some of those people.

He's basically on their because he has such a distinctive voice. You could say several of the ones on this list can't really sing...Joplin, Rose, James Brown....They don't have a great voice in the classical sense, but they're unmistakable and have been extremely popular. If it were for the best voice, I'd venture to say few to none of these would actually be on the list...I'm sure you can find many lesser known singers who have a better pure voice.

Billy Joel not being in the running is understandable...LOL

but not including Marvin is unforgiveable!

I agree, Marvin was my overwhelming first pick. Without him as a choice this list isn't even valid to me

Ol' Blue Eyes is making a run at the King and the Man in Black is not far behind. Somehow, Aretha Franklin is getting competition from Axl Rose for 4th place. Let's keep the votes coming!
