Is it a real tree or is it artificial? Just trying to get an idea as to which is used more!

My family has an artificial one. We haven't set it up yet; probably will over the weekend. We've been using it a few years now.

Artificial, too much of a hassle for real ones. Messy and have to buy a new one every year.

A real one this year. We have had an artificial one for about five or six years, but it has become lobsided and some branches fell off. So, we got a real one this year, but we'll probably buy a new artificial one at some point.

I have always bought real ones. I like the smell of it and it is fun to go out with your family and pick one up

I have never had anything other than a real tree, as I thought most people did...I always thought people who had artificial trees were lazy, or cheap, or both....but I guess it's just for convenience....no offense to anybody who has fake ones

How is having a real tree unrealistic? At least where I live, there are tree farms where all they do is grow Christmas trees

Red! It's not lazy or cheap...the proper terms are energy and cost efficient! We used to always have a real tree and I felt exactly like that when my mom switched to artificial when I was in high school...but now it's so practical I wouldn't think of switching back.
