real. i love the smell and picking it out with the family. The wife and I thought of getting a fake one but once our daughter was born we wanted her to have a real tree.

Artificial . When I was a kid, we had a real one for a few years. We would go out and pick out our own tree, cut it down and bring it home to set up in the house.

Red! It's not lazy or cheap...the proper terms are energy and cost efficient! We used to always have a real tree and I felt exactly like that when my mom switched to artificial when I was in high school...but now it's so practical I wouldn't think of switching back.

trees are like $15-20...you give it a little water and your straight...not sure how its energy efficient...how much does a fake tree cost?

i'm not knocking anybody for having a fake tree....it just seems cheesy....i honestly thought the results would be reversed with about 17 having real trees and 6 having fake....i guess its just me, but i dont really know anybody who has a fake tree

Going to get the Frasier Pine this weekend. Nothing beats going to get the tree, taking it in the house (cleaning up needles), setting it up (cleaning more needles) and decorating it (slight cleanup). Love the smell and the cat loves jumping up into it.

I used to get a real tree every year but with having 2 dogs the smell of the real tree makes them go in the house. Also the artificial was alot easier to put up and decorate.take care Steve

We had a fake tree while I was growing up. But for about the past 6 years we have been buying real trees I injoy them much more then a fake one.

i picked up a real tree with my gf and found that they are really cool..they smell great and look really nice with lots of lights...but the downfall definately would be the needles...
