Well I understand copyright laws and also some things can't be redisbributed with consent, but for some reason I think Becketts prices in their guide is different than the aforementioned, particularly if I buy the guide.

I'm not arguing, I just think it's wrong.

I was doing my weekly search for Iversons and came across someone who actually takes images of parts of Beckett price guide and puts it in his auction- to show the price or that it has no pricing due to scarcity. I'll post it but I don't want to get anyone in trouble, which may be illegal for them too.

At the bottom of Beckett's website:

"Reproduction in whole or in part without permission is prohibited."

Any member is free to say what they think a card is worth and reference the source (Beckett, Tuff Stuff, eBay, etc). Of course Beckett is not going to get upset with members referencing their price guide now and then. The rule is in place to prevent members from making their Beckett OPG or magazine available for community use. If you are negotiating deals and you tell a member that you will give them $40 in book value based on Beckett then you will be fine even in an open community. What I'm trying to prevent is members starting Beckett Book Value threads and making their OPG available to everyone or using their magazine as a community BV guide.

Ok I think I understand. On old Beckett, posting BVs in any way was illegal, and you could get suspended for a week on first offense, not to mention Buying/Selling was against the rules. Dumb site.

Already ask before but just want to make sure. Listing book values on trade or sell lists is okay.
