They used a monkey because the monkey in the cartoon is the monkey from CT that mauled a woman and then was shot by the police. It was a single monkey that was shot and killed. That's why it is 1 monkey and not 12 and a monkey and not a donkey or elephant.

In fact the punchline has to do with who wrote the bill NOT the animal or anything else. If you cover up the bubble and just look at the image EVERYONE should think of the monkey shot and killed by the police since it just happened and was all over the news.

That artist has done some shady things in the past and thinks before he does it. He knew what he was doing.

The funny thing is it's the idiot nancy palosi(sp) who wrote the bill not Obama. And the NY post isn't the one that kisses Dems aXX the paper is owned by the Foxnews owner isn't it.
