where are the bloods and crips on these list?

the big difference is when the nazi's show up white people attack and run them off(see ww2),black/latino people do nothing to combat thier hate groups

The Bloods/Crips were not created for the purpose of practicing/preaching hate on a specific group of people because of race/sexual orientation etc.. If you are upset that you don't see enough hate groups against white people on the list, look again. There are plenty of Black Supremacists groups on the list.

And your second point is very very very miss informed. In WWII it wasn't "White people" against the Nazi's and running them off. It was Americans and other allied forces of all races fighting that war. And just for the record the Nazi ideals are far from dead.

But that doesnt matter if you're white, its still our fault and we are the ones who are racist.

the best part is,im not all white im a product of the melting pot,if your a black guy on the mexican side of town or a mexican in chinatown you'll have the same problem, the only race that welcomes other races to live side by side with them are the whites,i meen how many africans do you see in china, how many chinese do you see in the middle east, the only place you see mixed races are in europe and north america

Gee it's tough either your racist or not, and it's usually easy to tell by statements people make. And racism isn't just a white thing, I've know people of other races who are racists. I know a LOT of people who are racist against gay people.

Gay people come in all races. Discrimination against gays is homophobia.

well...if your talking about people who just arent "smart", then yeah thats bad. But if its someone who is stupid just because they are lazy and wont try, then who cares if they are discriminated agaisnt in certain areas.

HAHA! The two biggest racists I know are from New York and South Carolins respictivly(sp). Al Sharpton is from New York, and Jesse Jackson is from South Carolina.

I love when people from up north try to say that people from down here are racist just because of what happened over 150 years ago. Funny, I love it.

"You are allowed to have black groups and latino groups, but not a white group"

"One of my best friends is Black."

150 years ago, are you serious? Are you confusing Dr King with Abraham Lincoln? Because I can tell you the civil rights movement is still in the recent past and if you think it brought about immediate and everlasting equality then, my friend, you need to do a little more travelling and interact with America.

Where is it written that you are not allowed to have a white group? The KKK is a white group, as are many other white supremicist groups throughout the country. There are organizations throughout this land that are religion, ethnic and racially based. So please cite your sources.

"One of my best friends is black." Well gee, does this earn you a pat on the back? One of Thomas Jefferson's best friends was black too, but she was still one of his slaves.

How can any of you, even for a moment, doubt the existence of racism in America? Is black representation in any of the following areas anywhere close to proportionate of the population?

    Congress
Chief Executives of the Fortune 500
Presidents of American Colleges and Universities
    NCAA football coaches
    Astronauts
    Bank Presidents
    Ambassadors and Diplomats
Sports Executives (oh yeah, that's right, they just want to stay home and relax)
    Teachers and Education Administrators
    Doctors
    and on and on.

Maybe many of of you who have posted here don't feel as though you harbor racially prjudiced thoughts and I sincerely want to believe that's true. But please remember there are still many of those bigots from another time, plus their sons and daughters, who are alive today. It's not coincidental that despite an unpopular war, rising unemployment, poor health care and a failing economy Barack Obama was still soundly defeated in many southern and midwestern states.

Yes, I'm sick of hearing about racism too. Be patient, it takes time for 340 years of bigotry and oppression to go away.

The article that was the source of this debate was a nice, feel good story, but it was set in Idaho, not Mississippi.

Here....we....go. I was waiting for someone to call me out. I didint want it to happen, but I knew it would.

Your first paragraph.......No, I'm not confused with Abe Lincoln and MLK. I was referring to slavery, not the civil rights movement when I mentioned 150 years ago. And no, Im not being exact when it comes to years.

Your second paragraph......It is not written anywhere that there cant be a "white group". The only white groups that I know of are white racists. I googled "white groups", and all I got was "white supremacists" or "KKK". White people dont have a group or college fund. Please find me one and I'll admit that I'm wrong. If not, I'll cite you sources.

Yeah, one of my best friends was black. I dont want a pat on the back, especially from you bud. I dont look at race, I look at attitude. He had a great attitude, and I loved him for that. But I also had another black "friend", and he told us we had to call him the "great one". I didnt like this black person, so am I racist for not liking him? He was black, I didnt like him, does this make me racist?

Then in your paragraph saying "How can any of you, even for a moment, doubt the existence of racism in America", you ask about racism in America. We have a MULTI-RACIAL PRESIDENT!!!! Wow, we are a pretty racist society here in America arent we.

And then after that....I dont even know what you're trying to say. Why are you mentioning "Mississippi"? Why are you mentioning "It's not coincidental that despite an unpopular war, rising unemployment, poor health care and a failing economy Barack Obama was still soundly defeated in many southern and midwestern states"? So most people from those states are racist?
