That should be an awesome hunt....It is my understanding that the state of Indiana has some very large deer. I only know from what I've read.

Where in north GA are you going? I'm in NC, but only 15 miles from the GA line.

For some amazingly dumb reason, I have absolutely 0 pics of my deer. I got a nice 8 point last year, my biggest ever. I'm psyched about this fall too...always love getting out in the woods and having a nice little hunting vacation.

we are actually going to a WMA called Cohuda... We are going the middle of october when our out of state permit will be good for 3 days of bear, deer, and hogs... should be a good time... what is the temp down there around the middle of october? just need to know what to be prepared for.... we are staying in tent halfway up the mountain

Three kits eh? Send me one of your extras, that way you'll have two and then I'll have two. Be a nice equality thing going.

Oh yeah, I know Cohutta...never been, but it's not that far at all. About 30-45 minutes from Chattanooga, TN, where I used to live, and probably about 2 hours from where I am now.

As for temp, October is a hard time to tell, it can fluxuate a lot. It could be 60-70, down to 45 or so at night...or it could be 40-45, down to 20 or so at night. I'd plan for 50s-low 60s, around 35-45 at night, that's probably average, but I'd pack some extra warm gear just in case.

If you need a good outdoors store while you're there, head east to Hwy 411 and go north to Benton, TN...there's a store there called Benton Shooter's Supply, got a lot of good stuff. Probably about an hour drive though, so not real close.
