My take, i still dont like this trade. Never did, never have, never will...This was a trade made for 2010, Iverson has no support from the front office, like a good front office, they wont bend over whenever he cries, no one feels bad for him, his bad play put him on the bench, bad decisions when playing and poor shooting are the cause, no one was "out to get him"

let him retire, the Pistons would be better off

or maybe its the fact that they dont know how to use him. they change there rotation every 2 games when something goes wrong and expect him to adjust immediately.

so now there just gonna let his career fade by putting him on the bench, just like darko.

At his age and past his prime, A.I. needs to accept his role as a reserve off the bench. I have a feeling that A.I. will not be back for the 09-10 season with the Detroit Pistons, and need to settle more into that role for whichever team he may end up next with.

I love Iverson as a player, but these remarks are incredibly immature and very disappointing. He's not 20 anymore, so I don't understand why he is still acting like it.

when hes on the court, tell me one time where he has given up in a game? he would dive into the stands for a ball even if there were 20 seconds left in the game and they were down by 10. i would be upset too, he cant do anything for his team when he is on the bench. there playing him for 18 minutes. sure he may not be a superstar anymore but he is definitely a starter on any team.

I never said that he gives up in games - it's his off-court actions that are bothersome. Saying that you'd rather retire than come off the bench is selfish. I would bet that the reason being is because he doesn't want to see his career scoring average plummet.

And yes, he could do plenty for his team coming off the bench - plenty of former superstars go to a limited, reserve role when they are past their prime.

hardly like Darko, Darko was terrible and never played...and still is bad..

the problem is he doesnt fit in an offense where everyone shares the ball, and is not this quick run and gun offense, if you watch enough Pistons games with Iverson, you'd see he runs around in circles and passes the ball without the players knowing when he might do so...

He had a long time of starting, without the lineup changing, with Sheed/Prince/Iverson/Hamilton/Stuckey

they wanted to get "bigger" so they bench Hamilton solely because of Iversons past, Iverson then takes stupid shots, stupid turnovers, makes the people around him worse, and the Pistons play better when he was out and Rip started, so he gets moved to the bench, he then says he accepts the role and will do as he is told...

then when he only plays 18 minutes complains about it and says "they rushed me back for this?" So to the contrary of what you think, the Pistons must want him if they wanted him to comeback to soon from injury..

he needs to shut his mouth because no one cares, his skills are deminishing, theres no denying it

your comparing your favorite player to darko haha, and it is pretty cut and dry when you lose 8 straight games with him in the lineup and rip on the bench and than start winning again once rip starts.

i doubt he cares about his scoring average. i dont see why you think that is the reason. he is the guy who whe nis on the fast break will throw it off the backboard to the player who doesnt score as much behind him.

i do agree that his remarks werent necisarry, but it was his way of stressing his frustration. if this were any other player i dont think it would be a made a big deal about, however, playing 18 minutes a game, will not do anything for him or the pistons.
