The cards have and will have no value. I have not seen one card from that product go for more than the price of a box, so how can people busting it make money?

I love the simple design!
This product will be a disaster value wise. Most of the group A player auto's have already saturated the market.
I am super pumped considering I like the design, and am really only in the hobby to collect. I bet this entire set can be had for less than a case in a month or so. Finally a Bill Russell auto that looks awesome and will be >$50 in a month.
That being said, I wonder how this will effect the value of the unopened product. This product still has 8 auto's per box, and people love the thrill of opening cards, so I doubt this box goes under $100. It may have the biggest rip to value disparity in 2009 though.

You are much better going to a casino than ripping wax for profit, probably more fun and it will last slightly longer. The odds are heavily against ripping one card the value of an entire box in any product due to saturation and lack of demand.
Short term one might get lucky and pull an awesome card, but long term (and it isn't long for most people) busting wax is well a bust. It is fun as **** though, but an extremely poor investment.
Topps Signature pretty much is a reflection of the hobby in terms of value.

Well it is always fun to have those dreams to pull an awesome card, which is why I am sure most people bust for. But in Topps Signature, there are no awesome cards. What is the point even trying to open a box when you can buy 4 group A autos for the price of a box.

Design is nice. Facsimilie parallels along with the base and auto look nice as a mini set. But, this set holds little value. Very disappointing set from Topps. I expected better. It seems like they had a lot of sticker autos to get rid of and this set was a good way to do it.

Well in terms of if you are a buyer on ebay, or a player collector, its a dream come true, if you cant shell out alot of money on autos of a guy like CP3, Russell, Magic, Rose etc etc
it'll be easy to get a cheap auto of a Level A guy, it just doesnt hold any value if you open a box and try to resell

Im just confused how these boxes can be retailing for $125+? Topps obviously could care less about what its doing to the hobby right now, and why should they right? We only buy their products.... what a joke... to promote this super high-end product with 8 Auto's, 1 "Group A" auto in every box oh yeah it's #'d to 15,000... we didnt mention that. How much demand would there have been if everyone knew before hand the auto's would be #'d out of 5000+? Probably very little.
OK got that off my chest

On a side note, I just picked up a CP3 and D12 Auto both for under 45 dlvd. Thanks Topps!!!

The 2005-06 SP Authentic Chris Paul RC Auto was number out of 1299. Yet those are selling for quite a bit. As is Deron Williams and Andrew Bynum. The Rose is numbered to under 700 and there are no parallels. I guess I look at it as the glass is half full, while others see it as half empty.

i feel no surprised by the high print number.... and i quite like they show them all on the cards to make every card has a unique number...
many Topps and UD auto cards do not show their number on the card but they could be much higher.... for example SP Authentic SOTT.... they could be 6000 prints for each player.... or even higher... we never know...
the only problem is these cards come in 1 per pack.. we may think they are worthless..... because it is too easy to get one..... too common...
if they come in 1 per 20 boxes only.... even they have 6000 prints each, we may consider they are Mojo.... lol...
back to this product... i found that they don't have many RC autos... not Beasley, Love, Lopez...... sad...Last edited by Outlander; 04-16-2009 at 10:54 PM.
