****, the NBA was just doing business. Panini put up more money and the NBA took it. It is not the NBA's responsibility to look after the card industry's well-being.
So now its the NBA's fault for choosing a different company, which paid more for the license, over two that were already crappy at customer service? And people want to defend these companies and displace the blame? Goodness, for how often people complain about dealings with UD and Topps, the hypocrisy is astounding. Is familiarity really so important that deep and consistent flaws are overlooked?
