Who Is The Most Under-Rated Player In The NHL???
Just wondering what you guys think. In my opinion its Zach Parise.
I just hate how low his cards sell on Ebay.
You can buy his Future Watch Auto /999 for under $50, while other players that dont even come close to compairing to Parise, like Stamkos, Gagner, even Doughty are selling the same, or even more, up to $80. And those players never even had a good year!
(Im not trying to offend or get any collectors mad. I just picked those players as examples from the top of my head)
I think he has alot of potential, he is going to be an upcoming star. This season he had 94 points.
Maybe next year he can share some of the spotlight with Ovie and Crosby........Maybe Tavares.LOL
Just let me know who you guys think is under-rated.
Oh, and if you have any Parise cards, let me know! ThanksLast edited by Rib93; 07-16-2009 at 11:25 AM.

It's pretty harsh to say that Doughty didn't have a good year in Los Angeles. He was up for Calder consideration for a good chunk of the season, which is saying a lot in an otherwise forgettable season for the Kings. You have to remember that rookies always get extra hobby love during their first year - it's the way the hobby goes. Unless your name is Crosby or Ovechkin, your cards will inevitably trail off as time goes by.
As far as under-rated players go, it's hard not to think of Shea Weber. Sure he went to Montreal for the ASG last year and is almost a certainty for Team Canada 2010, but if he were playing north of the border he'd be much more popular than Dion Phaneuf, in my opinion.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

I know. I just picked Doughty because I saw his FWA /999 sell for 42, which was almost as Parise`s. Doughty is a great player.
And yes, Shea Weber really under-rated aswell. Thanks for your answer!

Dont you find all the 2005-06 rookies are under rated? Except Ovie and Crosby of course.
Well maybe not all of them...But some of them.

I have to agree with Weber being underrated. If he played in a hockey hotbed he would be worth way more than Phaneuf. Thankfully I picked up his rookies now while no one really knows of him.

yea i think everyone expected gagner to have a great year immediately but he was only 18 and he still had about 50 points, and then he only had around 40 last year but he started doing really well towards the end of the year. i'm hoping his breakout year will be this year.....as for other under-rated players, i think bryan little is one of them, he had 30 goals last year and u can pick his spa au for around $10. of course playing for atlanta doesn't help him out. for older veterans, i believe marc savard and daniel alfredsson are both very under-rated.

Remember Zach stuff was selling good last year and above book in some instances for his cards. So one could not say he is underrated as he was being sold quite well book value wise. It just the lull and fall of how things go on the bay. Have the Devils make another run and his prices will again heat up.
I have to agree with Shea Weber as Rich said. I seen a few of his games and mentioned that in a tradelist video that I have with a broken shaft of his. Of course he not on the radar. But if he was in a hockey town watch out.
